Just curious. I get 4...doesn't seem like enough! How many do you get?

I get 5 weeks but that is ALL I get. No leave for sick time.

Also, you have to work at the company for 10 years to get the 5 weeks.

You have to work for my company for 20 years to get 5 weeks!!!! I do get personal days and certain holidays. I work retail so we can earn perfect attendance days during holiday time in addition to our personal days. But we do not get sick days either. I call out...I don't get paid!

I am up to about 5 weeks, we add one day for every year after ten years.

But I am lucky to be able to take two or three. I am the business owner and professional license holder so I must review and sign all work. I usualy end up taking long weekends to budget my time away from the desk.

I've been working for the same company for 9 years, so I get 15 days.

We get 17 PTO days. That's vacation and sick all lumped together. But we only get 6 paid holidays. And at Thanksgiving and Christmas they close 2 days but make us use one vacation day for each of those holidays. I started in November last year so I only got 10 days for this year. I took a 5 day cruise and then there are the two days at Thanksgiving/Christmas. So that leaves 3 days for the rest of the year. And I have a 2 1/2 year old so you know that I will need some sick days. Plus my Gramps has stage 4 brain cancer so I will need some time off when he passes. Because we don't get bereavement leave.

I get 2 weeks vacation and 5 sick days. I am lucky I started when I did because about 6mos after I came to the company they decided to cut the vacation for new hires to 1 week.

I work for myself, so not many...I take one week 2x a year, and then a day a week in the summer...

DH gets 5 at his job..

2 weeks paid. At least one week unpaid. No sick time. No holidays. No personal days.

I get a little over 5 weeks (26 days) that can be used for vacation or personal leave. I'm a federal employee, so I get the 10 government holidays, too.

Wow! Some of you get a lot!

I got 2 weeks for the first 5 years then I get 1 extra day each year. I just reached 10 years so now I have 3 weeks of vacation per year. The max is 4 weeks which you reach at 15 years.

I get four including person holidays-Next Year its 5 weeks (whoo!)
but we get extra days off for job well done.

I get 3 weeks vacation, 10 days personal time/holidays, and reasonable sick time as required. I have been here for 10 months.

You had no option on your poll that fit my situation.

My husband gets 5 weeks now, I think. It might still only be 4, but I'm pretty sure it's gone up to 5 now.

I'm a para educator for the public school system, so I don't get any paid vacation days.

This is my 15th year with the company I'm with...so this year I get 5 weeks:cool1: plus 6 flex days a year. Wow that works out to 31 working days off this year with pay:banana:

I get just a smidge under 4 weeks per year for vacation. 12 days sick leave/family care leave which you can carry from year to year, paid holidays, a paid week to two weeks off at Christmas (depending on when the holidays fall), and a week's bereavement for each loss as needed.

I'm also able to go to part-time for the summer and still retain all my benefits. That's my favorite.

I get 138 hours of PTO time per year but that covers ALL time off, including vacations and sick time. This is less than 4 weeks a year, which I think is pretty pitiful.

Of course, there's a HUGE nursing shortage and my hospital has CLOSED BEDS because they can't find enough nurses to fill the vacancies. And, they pay huge amounts to hire travelling nurses and Filipino nurses, but they can't pay us regular nurses decent wages and benefits. :sad2:
