How many wait-lists can you book online?

If a portion of a desired reservation in not available, can you wait-list the days and the unit type, then wait-list ANOTHER unit type for the exact same days at the same resort? It would be more important to me to just have a room at the resort, be it a different view or a lockoff/non lockoff. I would like to make as many waitlist requests for the days I need as possible to increase my chances of having a room, even if we have to move during the stay. How is this done, or what is permitted? Thanks in advance...

I know you are allowed to have 2 active waitlist at one time.

Two waitlists is the max, and I really don't like all the restrictions they have now, very little flexibility. With resorts that have so many views, I think it limits what might become avaiable to you.

I'm with you on this. If you want a 2br at BLT, there are 6 options there alone.

Agreed ! It's very limiting ! Right now I'd take ANYTHING in Animal Kingom as long as it's a studio....same goes with Bay Lake. But I am forced to make specific view requests which I could care less about right now. If I call on the phone, can I be more general or will the CM ask for a "View" specification ?

I'm with you on this. If you want a 2br at BLT, there are 6 options there alone.

This is killing us. We are ok with any 2BR in any view but can only waitlist 2 of those options.

We have a 2BR 12/2-12/7 and are waitlisted 12/7-12/9. We have points at BWV and BLT, so our 12/7-12/9 stay is currently at BWV. Was surprised at the absolute lack of availability at the 7 mos. mark at BLT.

I already had two and requested a waitlist for a third and figured I would be denied. It went through. After I saw this post I called DVC and verified all 3 were active. i did - however - cancel one that I no longer wanted. So I am back to two, but I did have 3!!! Pinky swear.

In your situation I would always wait list the view type that has the most rooms. So at BLT that would be Lakeview studios. And at AKV it would be a savanna view. Then every so often you could go online or call MS and see if any other view type is available and if one is book it and if you are wanting a different view then WL again or keep your original WLs active.
