How many TS meals??

We are going next July for 14 days. I'm trying to figure out if the dining plan is the way to go? How many TS meals would you plan on?

While on the dining plan how much money do you spend on food or drinks about the plan?

We had the plan last March and will have it again in December (both times we paid)... I think it's *wonderful* -- totally takes the pressure off about trying to "economize" at every meal and we tried a bunch of TS places we never would have otherwise.

On our last trip, I don't think we spent *any* money out-of-pocket on food or drinks (and we had a couple of CSs leftover). We mostly used our snack credits for large bottles of water in the parks (very convenient not to carry bottles with us everywhere and not agonize about buying overpriced water)... I was even able to use snack credits for a pint of milk in the little store at GF, so I'd have milk in the fridge for my little one.

Just returned, and spent nothing on food or snacks in the parks. We found that with dessert with all those meals, we just didn't need any more snacks than what the plan offered. Granted, we did take our own water. But it was so much fun having all those credits to use. Now that I'm home, though, it's tough to go 8 hours without ice cream...

For arguably almost any person/group it makes sense to be on the plan...unless you don't like or want to spend the time at TS locations. Considering the price, and that it includes tax and gratuity, it is really like paying for a TS meal each day, and getting the snack and the CS for free. It is a great deal overall, and I think most people would agree, it is really nice to just sign the slip and be done...no thinking about how much you are spending cause it is already paid for. I highly recommend it.

We did the DP last Jan. & May. We have 1 TS meal each day.
