So happy that Miss Botox is feeling better. Can't wait to see more pics of her. I love dogs
Unfortunately, my dog had to be put to sleep. He was in pain and there was nothing the vets could do.
Oh, I am SO sorry. When I got to school this morning, one of my students was waiting out front. She's usually never there early, but I didn't question her about it since I needed help with something in my room. Thirty minutes later after I had put the girl through the horribly boring job of stuffing 150 envelopes, I thought to ask her why she was at school so early.
Her response, "Well, my dog died this morning, and I just didn't want to be in my house since it reminds me too much of him."

I felt so terrible after hearing this. She's such a sweet girl, and you know, I don't think she would have said one word about it if I hadn't asked.
It's okay. There are more chances to win! Don't they always say that? We have a few Pirates and Princesses toys, too.
Glad Miss Botox is feeling better. It is hard to watch our pets uncomfortable in any way. They're such loyal, forgiving pals.
One of my students brought me a furry light up pen this week, too. It's Winnie the Pooh. She grins every time I use it!
Oh, I wish I had students that would bring me Disney-related things! Alas, that wouldn't be 'cool'.
Can you even believe about those 3rd graders in GA? I thought of your class and how you have some troubled souls in there...
Sorry you didn't win

But at least you got a tiara
Are you going to wear it on your trip?
Evidently the tiaras are made for people with shrunken heads. I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to get Botox to wear it for a picture. (She's such a diva. She refuses to pose. Perhaps she doesn't want her admirers to see her in her much-stapled state?

)
I'm glad Botox (I still chuckle when I hear that name) is feeling better and that you'll be able to take that road trip.....
DH came up with the name, and it kind of just stuck. It is *slightly* embarrassing to have to call and make appointments for her though. It is however VERY funny to see the words "Miss Botox" on a prescription bottle!
I'm glad Miss Botox is doing better. Boo to DH's nighttime hours. I loved your Golden Ticket moment, and yes the Depp version of Wonka is creepy!
Yes, it's tough to work opposite hours. DH and I are really looking forward to the road trip this coming week. It will be the longest time I've spent with him in a long while.
I'm glad Miss Botox is feeling better. I took the kids to McD's last week and we didn't have any winners either (and they forgot cheese on all 3 cheeseburgers and they gave my dd fries when we wanted apples in hers

) Oh, and our packages have English and Spanish too.
Is it so difficult? I also realized that I was probably supposed to get cookies in mine. (Don't they come with a small package of cookies?) Didn't get them! Now as an adult, that's not a big deal to me, but imagine if you were a kid who was expecting the silly cookies?
Ok, ok, I admit...I was annoyed about the cookies!
Happy to hear that Miss Botox is feeling better!
Yes, you and me both!
Ok, so I'll admit I have no idea what the spleen does either. But his had a large tumor on it. We found out later that it had spread and an even larger (and ultimately unremovable one) had wrapped it's way around his liver. It was so, so sad. He was a good dog.
The puppy they got a few years later, whose name was Ollie, has an even sadder story. He contracted some very mysterious and deadly disease at only 9 months old! After investing $10K (!!!) trying to save him, the poor baby's body gave up.
But to end this on a happy note, the breeder gave my parents another puppy out of the kindness of their hearts. His name is Cody. And he's happily and healthily in his second year of driving my parents absolutely crazy. He's worse than the worst toddler. Ever. And ever. Amen. My mom says that if he wasn't so cute he'd be in trouble.
Would it be slightly embarrassing

to admit that I've "tried my luck"
three times? (I'll never eat a chicken nugget again.) It has gotten me:
1 PotC plastic pirate ship
1 PotC tattoo
1 pink plastic Princess tiara
1 child's size pair of blue princess gloves
1 HUMONGOUS little girl's "dress-up" ring with a blue stone
0 free trips to Disney
3 cases of indigestion
Si. Estan en espanol en el norte tambien.
Lesson learned today: Spleen trouble is expensive!
DH told the vet (as he was settling Miss Botox's bill this week) that if it had been even one dollar more, he'd just say, "Forget it. Keep the dog."
The vet tech's reply, "Oh no, not Miss Botox!" She was horrified thinking DH could be serious. She obviously doesn't realize that I would KICK DH OUT if he sold off my dog!

to 3 cases of indigestion! Terrible food! It kills me to ever order chicken nuggets. All I can think of is that one judge calling them a "McFrankenstein" creation. Appetizing, huh?
Okay, I am all caught up! I am soooo glad that Miss Botox is feeling better! What a rough time she has had with that (and you too)!!!
We had McDonald's for dinner tonight -- three of us (DH refuses to order a Happy Meal) got three pirate skeletons and no Golden Tickets!

Oh well, now we can reenact the skeletons walking on the bottom of the ocean from the first PotC movie!
Interesting side note: ours did not have the Spanish on them.
I'm so glad you're back! Can't wait to hear all about the fun!
Yes, we've had ourselves quite the week. With Botox's surgery, the car being in the shop for a tune up, Spirit Week and April Fool's by some freak of nature occurring within the same week, and trying to pack for this road trip, it's about all I can do to keep ANY sanity.
Interesting....
By my calculations, so far we have 3 wrappers that included the Spanish and only 1 that didn't.

Hmmmm.....
She is SNORING right as we speak. She really tired herself out by SUCKING on her stuffed animal. Have you ever heard of a dog doing this? She sucks on a part of the stuffed animal just like a baby would suck on a bottle. Usually she picks the animal's nose or it's leg. She'll do this for HOURS at a time. My theory is because she was possibly weaned to early

? She's hysterical when she does it. Her eyes roll into the back of her head, and her breathing gets all deep...You gotta wonder WHAT must be going on in her mind
