How many times have you had jury duty?

I've been called about 7 times and served on a jury twice. The first time the trial lasted a week, the second time it was all over in a day. I liked that one a lot better.

I got called the first time and we had vacation plans to Yellowstone....they let me off. The second time I was just starting a semester in college.....they let me off. The third time they said no excuses. My number was drawn for most all of the 15 cases. After being appointed to three cases, the judge finally explained that I was trying to get an education, be a mom, and work. Basically, serve the three cases then leave me alone!!

I served on 2, forget what happened to the third one. I did learn ALOT from the experience!

Called once, picked 3 times for different cases. One took half a day, the other 2, about 2 hours each. I love serving and would do it again in a heart beat.

I had 2 DUI cases and one guy who had blue decorative lights on his window washing spray nozzles. Against the law here in SC but he still demanded a trial. Yeah all were guilty.

How do people find out about your connections, my roommate was a corrections officer and they never asked about that. I never offered it because it doesn't affect my decisions. I served on one jury were one of the witnesses was my former teacher and current neighbor. I did tell them that, they didn't care.

Warning if you don't want to serve though. I am a young female which made all the difference. Their were only 3 or so young people there, I the only female.

I was called 3 times, never got on a case, on time the prosecution had me leave, they messed up, I was there boy

long post

I was called once. They defense attorney said I whined too much, so I was let go.

How can I help it if the chairs were uncomfortable, I had to go to the bathroom and I was hungry?

I've been called twice - chosen once - but got off it because of work (the trial was expected to run awhile and my work said I was indispensable.:hyper:

Never! And I've always wanted to be called. I've always wondered what it would be like.

I was just called again for the second time. The first time I was picked for a civil case but after waiting around for a long time, they settled.

Never & I hope it stays that way;)

Three before myy DD was born. I received a questionaire for another after she was born but it asked if there was any reason I couldn't serve then and I said Yes. I enjoyed the other times but my DD was 3 months old and leaving her was not an option at that time.

The only summons I ever got were during my college years. I lived away from home. I don't know what to do if it happens now. What do they do with people who can't drive? Rides are hard to come by for me. It would be neat to serve, but I don't know how I'd do it.

I've gotten called 4 times, and served once. It was just one long day.

Never - but I think I would really enjoy it. My work would pay me full pay, so besides having a lot of work to do upon my return, it would not be a hardship for me.
