How many times have you changed your ressie?

I felt so embarrased calling the CM to change my ressie again...I first booked the "package" at AKL. After doing my research on DIS, I learned to just book the room and apply AAA...another call to a CM. Now, I have decided to split my stay between two resorts, and switch out of AKL. New ressies are now 3 nights at WL, and 3 nights at BWI. I promised the CM I wouldn't change my mind again. Thank God she was so nice!! So, please make me feel a little better and tell me you have change ressies more than once....

Too many times!!! We started out with ressies at POR for seven nights, then switched to CSR, and then switched to an off-site hotel for the first three nights and AKL for five additional nights. Now I'm wondering if instead of staying off-site those first three nights, we should instead try a value resort onsite. I'll probably be making several more calls back before we leave for our trip in May! I'm so glad that all CMs have been incredibly helpful thus far. The last time I called, I apologized for making so many changes, and the man laughed and said, "We don't care, as long as you get here!"

...more times than I can remember! It happens. I had originally mades ressies at WL than decided to go for a moderate to extend the length of our vacation. So, we decided on CBR. But, my ILs wanted a small resort so I finally decided on POFQ. I, too, was embarassed when I kept calling them. In fact, to this day, I still call and modify our dining arrangements just because of our itinerary, where we want to dine, etc... Sometimes I hate calling because I have a feeling that they dread my calls...

Ummm...
It started out just DS13 and I. For 4 nights. At POFQ. In January.

Then it became DS13, DD14 and I. For 5 nights. In January.

Then it was DS13, DD14 and I. For 4 nights. At CSR. In April.

Then I added a 5th night when I booked my airfare.

Then I decided to spend the first night offsite.

Then DH decided to join us. And we decided to spend the first night onsite again.

Then I joined AAA and had my TA apply the discount.

I'm waiting (like everyone else) for an AP code. I may have to change again if they come out with lower rates...possibly go deluxe instead of moderate.

For our trip last month, tally this:

1.Booked Pop Cent. for 8 days.

2.Got AllStar at the BDP code for 1 day in 'regular' season, dropped Pop.

3. Got AllStar at the BDP code for 7 days in 'value' season.

4. Booked Dolphin for 3 days at Teacher's Rate, dropped 3 AllStar days.

5. Booked Swan through DU at Teacher's Rate, dropped 3 AllStar days.

So, we spent the first 3 days at Swan, the middle 2 at AllStar and tha last 3 at Dolphin. Just another typical WDW trip planning experience.

This is the first time I have changed things around. We were going to stay at the raddisson before the cruise then changed to AKL, now we changed to WL. So its (I hope) WL, 4 day wonder then AKL. :cool1:

Let's put it this way, the last time I called CRO about our May trip, the CM told me, "wow you've changed your reservation like 80 times" ROFL. I responded with "well, only 50 times really" But here's my recap:

* WL 1 room with my email pin code
* changed to WL for 2 rooms with my email pin code
* changed to CR for 2 rooms with my email pin code
* changed to WL for 2 rooms with MIL's pin code
* changed to separate ressies for MIL and us, 1 room each WL
* cancel WL ressies

* new ressie Poly with SOG overflow rate

Hopefully that's it!

I change my reservation as often as needed. If I can't have the number of nights I want, sometimes I would switch to a different resort. In the beginning when I was so totally disney crazy  My first time ever staying on Disney property, I have switched my ressies about 6X!

*Dixie Landing~Bayou
*CBR
*POrleans
*Dixie Landing~Mansion
*POrleans
*CBR

Ha ha ha ha... After a few hours stay at CBR..my late husband didn't like CBR, so we ended up...at the ASMo!! And we fell in love with the ASMo!! The kids were then almost 4 and 18 mo.

Count me in...just this trip alone changed from WL in July with beach trips, then we decided to just do the beach in July and go to WDW in Oct. Well, Oct is regular season, so we changed to POFQ, then decided to try offsite, then changed our minds and started dreaming about the Poly...Right now I have NO ressies. I really want to narrow it down before I change again. Now I'm thinking about CSR, I never really considered it before because it's so big, but the pool looks great and I want to spend some time around the resort. I guess I won't really know where I'll end up until I get there!

I did it too last November
Booked Pop for 6 nights with package
Discount code came out so booked CSR for 6 nights with package
Decided to book 3 nights at AKL, only two were available at discount for my dates, so I booked 2 nights at AKL followed by 4 at CSR room only ressies
Kept calling, 3 nights were finally available at AKL so I ended up with 3 nights at CSR followed by 3 at AKL.
WHEW!!!! Thank goodness for understanding CMs

For our trip last December I changed it 16 times, but ended up using my original overflow reservation from SOG at the CR.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with the resort decision. Let's see:
1. Swan Concierge
2. Contemporary Tower
3. Wilderness Lodge Woods View
4. Pop
5. POFQ w/ dining

I think that's it. I'm secretly reading through to AKL thread and hoping for room discounts to come out. I'd like to do a split between POFQ and AKL, but I don't think DH will go for it. He's tired of all of the changes.

Welcome to my world ;)

I originally booked 8 nights at AKL, Savanna view, with a Winter Room rate
~ Switched to GF Garden view at Passholder rate
~ Switched to 4 nights at WL Concierge and 4 nights at BWI Concierge at Passholder rates :cheer2:
~ Switched 4 nights at WL CL to 4 nights at Poly Concierge lagoon view at RACK  :confused3
~ Realized I'd gone WAY over budget and switched LVC to standard Garden view at Passholder rate :teacher:

I've got 25 days to go and I really don't think I'll be making any more changes :earboy2:

4 nights at the Poly and 4 nights at BWI Concierge Deluxe! :cloud9: :wizard:

  2. Changed to Ultimate Dream Maker +Silver
  3. Changed to Ultimate Dream Maker +Gold

  5. Changed the whole package to a 7 day MYW Premium +Magic Plus
  6. Changed to 7 day MYW Premium +Magic Plus +Dining
  7. Changed to 8 day MYW Premium +Magic Plus +Dining

  10. Called back and changed my seating arrangements for air travel. (1st time)
  11. Called back and changed my seating arrangements for air travel. (second time)
ACK!

Well Now I do not feel so bad about all the changes I have made.
I started off with Room only ASSp then switched to PO FQ,
then AKL and POFQ. We Changed dates around at this point too.
Now I am At AKL and WL.
I am very happy with this and do not plan to change.

Well, I thought I was the only one that changed my ressie so much. Truthfully, I have changed so many times that I don't even think I can remember, but I think it goes a little like this:

1. Contemporary, BCV, HRH
2. CR-Junior Suite, BCV, HRH
3. WL, BCV, AKL (note: my Mom & Sister decided to come, we dropped HRH, due to high costs and no discounts & MYW. Also, rented more DVC points so that we could have a 1 bedroom & studio)
4. Pop, BCV, AKL
5. RPR, POFQ, BCV, AKL (I would have put the Royal Pacific Resort back at the end of our vacation, but my cousins are coming down for the last 4 days & they want to do DIsney. So, my only choice in fitting Universal back in with FOTL was to put Royal Pacific Resort as the first 2 days of our stay.)

WHEW!!! I think I'm just tired looking at all of this. This is why I'm hesitant to go with DU because I can never make up my mind. I'm quite sure that I may change yet again.

Twice. Started out staying 7 nights. Called to change it to 8 nights. Called again to change it to 9 nights! And here I thought we were the only ones who kept calling back.... :teeth:

Lets see, on our last trip we started out at ASMo and the switched to POR, then to WL, thought it was too much money and all we could get was courtyard view, then switched back to POFQ and then back to WL. 5 switches for one trip.

We have not booked our current trip but we have changed our minds regarding the hotel for the first 5 nights about 6 times. First it was CBR, then CR, then Poly, then POR, and finally 2 rooms at POP. The second half will be 2 nights at AKL. If they come out with a great package, then we will do probably all nights at AKL, but shhhh don't tell DH and friend Julia.

1. We started out at CBR March 19-26
2. Then we had to switch our days from 17-24 and CBR wasn't available so we switched to POR
3. I kept calling daily to get our ressie at CBR
4. Decided to rent points from a DVC friend
4. Called and canceled POR
5. First booked at OKW Studio (through friend)
6. Had her change us to BWV 1 Bedroom (done switching! I promise!) :cool1:

I have changed mine twice and if a code comes out I will change it again, but I don't think that it really matters. The only information they have when you call is the most recent reservation. So my philosophy is the "don't ask don't tell". If they don't ask I don't tell. :flower:
