How many times have you changed your resort reservation?

Same with me. I wanted the Polynesian from the beginning but just couldn't justify the expense for just my husband and I. Then we had an unexpected little windfall and I thought what the heck lets upgrade to the Contemporary it's not quite as expensive as the Polynesian.

When I started reading comments about the run down condition the Contemporary is in I switched back to POFQ and then my husband said if you really want to stay at the Polynesian just go ahead and switch because we have friends that will be staying there when we are. I couldn't type an email fast enough to our agent at DU and crossed my fingers that anything would be available. I was so happy when she replied and let me know I was all set at the Polynesian and it was only a difference of $160 between the Contemporary.

Now all I can do is hope we can get a rennovated room, but any room would be fine. :teeth:

Never once. I do all my second guessing before I book! :teeth:

I change my mind on paper with different scenarios about 5 times before I let Dreams know what I want. Once I book it it stays. I really don't do high maintenence very well, and I would feel like an inconvienience if I changed after booking.

Sometimes it all depends what's available when you're booking, of course. When I book a trip, it's usually in the high season, and rooms are limited, so I book whatever I can get. Then, as time goes on, more rooms may open up, so I grab for those. Then circumstances change, and you need a larger room, so you rebook.

Sometimes it's just the caprices of the vacationers' whim. Today I feel Poly, tomorrow I may feel a little Wilderness. Don't see anything wrong at all with changing your mind. If it makes the CM a little "persnickety", well, maybe the CM needs a job that doesn't entail working with the whimsical, ever-changing minds of the public. Personally, I don't think it's the changing of reservations that bothers CM's at CRO most. But I won't get into that here...it's a discussion for another thread.

I used to change my mind several times - start with CS then switch to WL then switch to CBR then switch to AKL. It was always lots of fun. :cool1: I booked our Thanksgiving trip with the best rate plan and it has taken all of the fun out of the AP waiting game and let's see if when I call back they now have the resort at an AP rate that I REALLY wanted when I first called. And with the best rate plan, they can charge me $50 every time I change my mind. So, for the first time ever, I am sticking with what I originally booked. I kind of miss the wait to talk to a CM when AP are released and having to make a quick decision based on what is available and the thrill of snagging a room at an AP rate. The fun is gone!!!

I completely agree (I am NOT high maintenence at all) but I just couldn't seem to get a grip on this vacation...mostly due to other family members changing their minds. We went from early Dec. at POR to a split stay at AS Sports and WL to mid-Dec. at POR. Whew! I promised my poor Dreams TA I was done, and I only hope it's true!

Let's see, 1st change - dates, 2nd - add extra day, 3rd - add another extra day, 4th - add dining plan. This does not include three changes to our PS's. At this point we seem to be set, hopefully.

I usually don't change a whole lot, but this trip (29 days and counting), I have changed my rez's multiple times since January. I started with DoubleTree Suites in DTD, then Boardwalk Inn, then Dolphin, then POFQ and now finally Contemporary Tower. I'm getting excited about the fact that so many people are getting scared off by the construction 'issues', maybe it will be nice and quiet for me. :goodvibes :goodvibes
