I know it's been a couple weeks, just wanted to get back on track! So how many times do you visit the Fort in a year?

I freeload at FtW weekly. I am professional. Donnie is taking lessons from me.

Less than once a year -- I only stay with my sister - the infamous Deb! When we come down and don't stay at FW we usually visit FW though. I've only stayed at FW 4 times -- 7/02, 1/04, 12/05 and 12/07. Thanks Deb.
:thumbsup2

lol, yea, I guess I should have also added "we only go every couple years".

Doh

Yes, you should have. Some of us are not privilged enough to live close by. only in our dreams.

For 2008, it's gonna be 3 trips, 2009 is at least 2 trips, maybe 3.

I'm just curious, but you can just drive in and park? Do you need any type of admission or pass? How nice is it that you live close enough to drop by whenever you have the inclination to do so. :thumbsup2

Once we went twice in a year. Mostly it's only one time a year. I wish we lived closer. 1,200 miles is just too far.

Ft. Wilderness has the day/overflow lot where folks that are visiting for the Hoop de Doo, Trail Rides, pony rides, etc. can park for the day without going through a guard gate. As long as you are not parking there overnight, you don't need any kind of pass. You can then take the buses or walk anywhere around Ft. Wilderness you wish.

No. We just park in the day lot & ride our bikes in or use the bus. I know people who trailer their golf carts over for the day, but I'm just not that brave.

Also.... when you have an AP, that entitles you to use any of Disney's transportation.

Where we now live was part of our strategic retirement plan. DH & I are both retired from one career, but not old enough to hit the IRA without serious penalties. So presently, we're in the "second career" stage of life. That, unfortunately, puts us down in the "pond scum" level for time and length of vacation - so we don't actually stay at FtW as much as we used to. :(

I put 3-5 as more a wishful/positive thinking than reality.

We live about 3 hours away and we are going for the first time in October. Since it turns out our most reasonable option for tickets are the Seasonal Resident Passes I'm hoping we can at least fit a couple more trips in between October 08' and October 09'.

If we did not live close it would be once every four or five years.

3-5 for us. Really hope to fit into the 6-10 soon. Getting married tonight, and new bride loves FW as much(well almost) as I do. She is already asking about going this summer during blackout of the seasonal pass:thumbsup2

Where was "not enough"?

I had to average mine over the last few years and ended up with just 1-3 trips per year. If I had my way, it would be a solid 3 trips per year!:cool1:

Unfortunately we only get to the Fort once a year. We live too far away to come more.

Yeah, I guess I better go get a shower and stuff. Probably won't be back on the Dis for a couple of days. ::yes::

Tony..youre a helluva guy...I love the way you slide these huge news announcements in so casually...I almost missed it....
congrats!!!!!!
