How many swimsuits do you carry?

DH and I each bring 1 and I pack 2 for DS, only because one year he was playing by the pool and got caught on something and ripped the whole leg , and not at the seam so I couldn't sew it up. Wound up having to run to Walmart to buy hi a new one a pickings were slim becasue it was back to school time.

We all only bring one suit each when we go to Disney. When we are done swimming we wring them out really well in the tub and then hang them up over the shower or towel bar. It is rare that we ever went to use the suits again before they were dry.

Beware that a lot of the bathing suits for women on Disney shopping run all kinds of wacky with their sizing-some run very large and some very small. I have not encountered one that was true to size yet. I ordered matching ones for me and DD last summer just a week or so before our Disney trip and we were very disappointed because mine was huge and DD's cut into her at the leg holes (and she is a string bean). Needless to say, we just went on vacation with our old faithful suits.

Thanks for the tip. I actually order the kids' suits on Disneyshopping.com. And I would agree that they have an oddball sizing scale. But I have figured out that my five year old wears a 4 and the seven year old wears a 6 in Disney suits. Their prices are really good too. I only paid $6 for their Tinkerbell suits and the shipping was free.

Wow it didn't even dawn on me that the suits could tear. Then I would definately recommend bringing at least 2 suits. We plan on hanging out by the pool this trip...something we did not do often in the past. I do not want to take the chance if a suit rips. Great advice.

Thanks....

Enjoy your Aug. trip! :)

I have separate tankini pieces so I ususally pack 2 bottoms and 2 tops so I can mix and match while the others are drying.

For my boys I bring quite a few pairs of trunks. Sometimes they wear their trunks as shorts...they dry very quickly after Kali River Rapids, Splash Mt, the water play areas at Epcot, etc.

BUT if your boys wear their trunks be careful on how they fit. My oldest son's were the long board shorts and hung rather low in the crotch area thus allowing a lot of skin-to-skin thigh rubbing and he ended up with a painful heat rash on his thighs!

Two week trip - I bring 3 or 4, DH brings 2, ds brings 5, and the girls each bring 8 or 9! We have an inground pool at home so they live in bathing suits all summer long, that's why they have so many.

I dry them on the retractable clothes line in the shower. Sometimes i'll lay them over the chair on the balcony or the patio for a few hours too.

Everyone in our house always has two bathing suits and we bring both of them. I gotta say I can't imagine buying my kids four bathing suits every summer. We wear one on the first day, wash it out, let it dry, wear the second on the second day, etc.

I usually bring 2 per person. I hand wash and hang dry each day.

I was extremely frustrated buying suits last year. Got some at Spiegel and love them.

I have had some luck ordering from newport news online. They have a wide variety of suits. I prefer the swimdress (until I can reduce this post-baby belly) and they have a few flattering ones that accentuate your best parts and hide the other stuff. Check it out! :)

Going to check out the site now~Thanks!:goodvibes
