We are staying at the Poly next week, just wanted to know when you get on the monorail from the Poly, how many stops are before the MK ? Also, what is the order of the stops from the Poly all the way around the lagoon back to the Poly.

Ron

From the Poly your next stop is the GF then onto the MK. Coming back you go to the Contemporay ,the TTC , then the Poly. Depending on what building your are in at the Poly you could get of at the TTC and walk back to the Poly.

Thanks for the reply.
So just one stop at GF before the MK.... not sure where our room will be but we'll probably walk to the TTC when going to Epcot instead of taking the monorail around. Is the TTC a walkable distance from any longhouse at the Poly ?

Just to add - we stayed at the Poly last month. There is a boat launch right on Poly's lagoon that takes you directly to MK. If you are staying anywhere near the lagoon, take that. Lot less crowded and a little bit less walking. Takes a few minutes less as well. If you stay near the TTC, it may make sense to hop on the express MK monorail which bypasses GF, this is ONLY if you are very close to the TTC though. On the way back from MK, you could take the express monorail and jump off at TTC, or get on the resort monorail and hop off at TTC or Poly's main building, or take the boat back. The boat stops at GF first on the way back but it was still quicker for us. If you are leaving anytime during opening or closing, ALWAYS take the resort monorail as the express monorail (which takes everyone back to the MK parking lot) is FULL FULL.

To go to Epoct, walk to TTC no matter what - it is the quickest way.

Did I confuse you yet??? :rotfl:

Yikes !! I had to read that a few times to understand , but I think I've got it. LOL . The boat seems like a good idea ( but the family loves the monorail ride), we should try it once though. I have written your tips down as notes for me when we arrive.

Thanks,

Ron

I knew it sounded confusing :rotfl2:

anyway, the CM at checkin should give you a resort map that shows you where your building is located and where the transportation options are.
If you have kids, request theSamoa bulding. great location right by the volcano pool!!!

You can also take the ferry to/from the MK. Like the express monorail, it is very full in the am but if you return to the Polynesian midday, it is almost empty.

Our favorite way is monorail to MK after breakfast at Kona and little launch back midday. We often stop for luch at Grand Floridian Cafe.

But sometimes we just evaluate the situation. We check out the monorail, ferry and launch. We have even been known to race each other. :sunny: One of the great joys of the Polynesian is the transportation options.
