Hey, isn't this supposed to be a pre-trip report?

I haven't had an update in how long?

Oh dear.
Well this past long weekend I decided to swim, barbeque and do a little trip planning, and I have the sunburn, steak breath and pictures to prove it!
Here's what I finally accomplished after doing fairly not much for a long time.....
BOUGHT:
plane kits for Ariana & Demetri (sticker books, colour wonder books)
new swimsuit for Ariana
new sandals for Ariana
a few more travel items
glow sticks/necklaces
handy dandy wipes
lime green journal binder
lime green passport/birth certificates/health card holder
swimsuit cover
envelopes for mousekeeping/gratuity tips
more allergy meds and meltaways meds
DID:
put plane kits together in zipper pouches with word search puzzles
created the Pop scavenger hunt
created lime green journal binder for daily musings
put together travel docs for crossing border and airport security
created Ariana's picture itinerary
Yay!

It feels great to have gotten so much done!
First.... the shopping loot:
My plane kits for Ariana and Demetri needed to be something that would hold their interest for the entire two and a half hour flights each way, but wouldn't be tooo much that they couldn't put it away when we got to Orlando. I chose a sticker book for each, one that you took the stickers out of the end of the book and put it wherever you wanted on the inside. And a Colour Wonder book each where the special markers only work on the included colouring book. No messes on seat trays or themselves!
The holders for the plane kits are the same handy-dandy zipper closure thingies I bought from the dollar store last year. They worked perfectly last year, so they're being reused!
Oh, and I'm scrapping my activity book for Ariana in favor of including the word searches in the plane kit. She'll finish them in 15 minutes flat, but hey, that's 15 minutes!
The scavenger hunt for our first day at Pop Century was sooo much fun putting together. I picked which items I wanted to include in the search and created the front page with the list and a few pictures, and then put a map of the resort on the reverse. My work's double siding colour printer came in handy here!
I also put together a Travel Journal for us to fill out everyday. Nothing toooo involved or we wouldn't do it

. Just one sheet each for the kiddies and one sheet for the hubby and I for each day we're there to list our favorite things of the day. I can't wait to hear the answers I get from each of them... I know they'll surprise me.
Lastly, I created today our picture itinerary.
I have several copies of this

worship: oh work copier!) One is proudly hanging on our fridge as of this afternoon and the kiddies are closely inspecting it. The other copies will come with us and for our trip call the coupon organizer home.
Still more to do! Tomorrow I can check in online!!!
