I'm just wondering how much film I should bring as opposed to how much everyone else does?? About how many pictures do you take??
Leaveing in 3 days!!! :earseek: :earseek:

I take a roll of film for each day that I'll be there and then 2 extra just in case. Have a great trip.

We stopped using film a couple of years ago, Digital is the 0nly way to go. Before that we figured on a roll or two a day depending on activity

Digital here too. I however come home without about 200 pics, and I erase probably close to 100. I use to go through 15 rolls of film for a 7 day trip. So I guess I was averaging 2 a day as well. Just bring extra. It's not heavy and doesn't really take up any extra space. I've bought it in the parks and it's very expensive as well as batteries!!

I personally would bring 3-5 APS rolls, in addition to about 3-4 for my mom, and up to 8 for my sister.

I am now doing the switch to digital :teeth:

Bye-bye traditional film :wave2:, hello (nearly) unlimited pics!

For a weeks vacation I used to use about 25 rolls of film. I now use a digital camera and the last trip (about two weeks ago) I filled a 128 mb card and half a 128 mb card. About 550 shots.

Remember, don't pack your film in your checked luggage, carry on only. The scanners for checked luggage will ruin your film.

I just went last month and went through 6 rolls of film (2 36 exposure and 4 24 exposure) in a week. I LOVE to snap photos! My DH always brings his digital too but I will NEVER give up my 35mm :teeth:

Last time we used a 'real' camera we went through 14 rolls. Next month it will be digital for the still and video cameras.

Before we purchased a digital camera, I used approximately 12 rolls of 36 exposures per week-long trip (much to my DH's consternation...processing was a nightmare!). I am a photography (and scrapbooking) nut! With a regular camera, you are never quite sure the picture "turned out" the first time, so if one was good, two or three were even better. Besides, film in the park is so expensive that it's better to bring more than not enough! We, too, have gone digital so that eliminates the worries of getting the perfect shot and having blurry ones, etc.

I ususally bring about 20 rolls of Film and I use for my last 2 trips about 13-15... So About 2 rolls a day.

On our 8day/7night visits our film use has varied, on our first trip during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Fest, he shot 18 rolls (24 exp.) of film, on subsequent visits we have shot 8 - 10 rolls. Bring extra from home the cost of film in the parks is high.

We are also digital users... But anyway, on our last trip we took well over 200 photos. We were there for 7 days, 5 days in the parks.

I agree with everyone, bring extra film from home.
One thing you might want to do is bring a one time use camera that shoots panoramic shots. I used one and it was great. I used it for large landscape type pictures. I think the one I had was a Kodak that shot 24 pictures.

have fun!

Since I don't have a regular camera or a digital camera last time I ended up using disposable cameras-about five of them-and the ones you buy at disney are expensive but I think they have 36 exposures. Since we didn't have transportation we didn't have many options. I am definitely buying a digital camera for the next time!!

I would use about 1 or 2 rolls a day..before digital

Also don't forget extra batteries... If you have to buy them in a park.
I used a Canon ELPH back in the day, and had to change batteries around every 5 or 6 rolls.

Now with Digital ELPH, extra chargeable battery, and a 512MG flash.. I can go all week.. but just in case I bring the laptop with a cd burner... Can never get enough pics of DD's and ::MickeyMo

8 days 7 nights, avg 150 pics per day at 2mp on digital. Not all will be printed, but I take them anyway cause you never know when one will be the suprise beautiful one.

Brought a laptop, downloaded every afternoon and evening... carried around just a 64mb memory card. I get 158 pics on one memory card at 2 megapixel normal.

oogieboogie,

"8 days 7 nights, avg 150 pics per day"

150 A DAY!! Are you Japanese or what?

What's up with the Japanese comment? I would usually bring a whole box that we get at the wholesale store, and then use what we need. It's always cheaper and more convinent to do it that way then going out of your way to buy it.
