How Many Rides on Pirates of the Caribbean are Enough? Now Completed 11/4/10

I have not had that happen, but I think I would have popped a blood vessel.

It's like the people that go to Little Mermaid, Philharmagic, or any of the theater attractions and plop down in the middle of the row.

Our family has our own way of dealing with them:

a) Throw your hands up in the air and yell really loudly, "Oh I guess this must be the end of the row, gang. Everyone sit down right here." That one works. if it doesn't...

b) squeeze by, step on everyone's feet, knock your park bag in their face, and pray that Dad let's out a fart too.

Leaving the mass confusion and rudeness at Toy Story Mania behind us, we traveled out of Pixar Place and towards this:

Our first stop, however, was the Rock and Roller Coaster. Stinky and Sweetie had already ridden with me, but poor Boo, well, she was asleep that day.

It all looks innocent enough, an upside down car at the entrance. . .

20100602041.jpg

This was my first time through the standby queue at Rock and Roller Coaster. It is really nothing spectacular, but wait we did. And when we were near the cars, Sweeite did something I never expected. . .

she started to sob uncontrollably. She did not want to ride again, and dh wasn't going to make her. He took her and Stinky (who suddenly decided he had something he needed to do, lol) through the chicken door while Boo and I took the fast lane.

When we got off, dh murmured something about taking the eldest two for ice cream. I was left to take Boo to this:

Perhaps I should have started crying.

I hate. this ride.

I don't like falling and I certainly don't like getting a headache that this ride always seems to induce. Boo, however, was not to be detered. Oh well, photoops abound. . .

We ride the ride, without the drunk girls from my Christmas vacation. I am certain from the look on Boo's face that she hates it. I mean, look at her (front row, we're the two on the left side at the far end):

No, I get a "That was awesome!" :headache:

By that time, it's dark and dh has taken the other two back for a nighttime swim. We say goodbye to Hollywood studios and make our way towards the long walk to the busstop. . .

Coming up. . .the polar opposite of waterparks.

Wow! Boo is really a little thrill lover! Wish I could have gone on TOT for you. I love that ride!

I hate that ride too. I rode it once, waaaay back in '96, before it was "randomized." I will say, though, the fact that they now have seat belts instead of just a bar -- :scared1: -- makes me think that if one of my kids made me go on with him, I might survive it, mentally.

R&R -- that's another story entirely and there is just nothing in me that wants to ride that ride. And since DS8 has no desire to ride any coaster that flips, I'm good.:thumbsup2

I "heart" night time swims......Disney pools are even more beautiful then.:lovestruc

.

You are a far nicer mama than I! I haven't been on ToT since they started the whole multiple random drops thing. I loved it when it was a brand new ride, but the whole up / down and not knowing how many times concept...not so much for me. Pity though, when they open the doors it's a beautiful view. Glad you got to "enjoy" some bonding time. :goodvibes

I love RnR. So does DD. When were were there in 2005, DD and my sister went on ToT. I refused to go, it was too scary for me.

She is--the fact that she was climbing walls at the age of one should have told me what I was in for. . .

Your rump still comes off of those seats. . .even when you have a little fluff on the bones, like me.

I can handle it because I know what is coming. I never know with TOT, making it terrifying!

Let's just say, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Next trip it'll be her Daddy's turn, though.

I never used to have that problem on this ride but now it seems like it's a headache-inducer almost every time. :sad2:

I don't know why it does that to me, but it does.

I love RnR. So does DD. When were were there in 2005, DD and my sister went on ToT. I refused to go, it was too scary for me.

I get heart palpitations when I hear the song on the 4 Parks 1 World CD. It certainly is not my fave.

What an absolute beautiful pic of the kids with their uncle. That was truely a special event.

YIKES, rude tour groups.

I love Rock and Rollar Coaster and Tower of Terror but boy do they make me feel awful with a terrible dizzy headache. :headache: I have to sit for a spell with a snack after doing those back to back.

I don't know why it does that to me, but it does.

I have noticed that NOT screaming your head off makes a difference. When BF ride in September I'm planning on being quiet as a churchmouse...though I may throw my hands up in the air and open my mouth real wide, just for the ride pic effect! :rotfl:

ToT gives me headache too....maybe it's the fear of riding that sends my blood pressure through the roof inducing the headache:lmao:

See I am not afraid of being afraid on that ride. I am afraid that I'll get sick at my stomach. Which just ruins the whole day, and would be really, really embarrassing. So, I haven't tried it... yet.

Well, I was surely waaaaaaaay behind on your TR!

I'm glad you guys finally got to meet Mickey whilst dining in his place! I'm sure it's tough on him to get out of the kitchen to pose for pictures and sign autographs for people...what with the hundreds of people who pass through there everyday...and how does he keep that apron so clean?

I love that Typhoon Lagoon picture! It reminds me of our family a bit. Up until a year or so ago I was still picking up my son, who is 8 now! My DH called him my "big baby"!

Love those Illuminations pictures!

What a great reason to go off Disney property! I'm sure you all are very proud, as you should be. :goodvibes

That's sad you don't like ToT, it's one of my favorites!

Good point. . .my life's desire is the be stopped at the end when Jack is surrounded with gold long enough to take a good picture (nonflash, of course). Still hasn't happened, so I'll keep trying.

I figured out how to do this for you Amanda!!! I be in a boat 3 ahead of yours. I will take my time getting out at the end so they have to stop the ride, that should put you right in the spot!!! :rotfl:

I like having a Mickey bar and a soda after those rides. :thumbsup2

:lmao: That is too funny, Tink

That may be it. Haven't though of that. I dread it the whole time.

You have to see my Christmas report. These two girls who were obviously drunk got on the ride. I know they had to get sick on that. How could they not?

yay for TOT..my fav ride!!! I love that you made reference to the Stacey WDW loop video!!

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who likes Stacey.

It's okay you are behind. I am behind in all of the trs I subscribed to. School started and I have a hard time keeping up.

Is that a ticker I see, TK?

Day 6: Thursday, June 3, 2010

Yeah, a Stacey reference. Why not? I happen to love Stacey, and although I can recite most of her spiel, I'll turn on the tv and watch her.

This morning, we work up, not too early, but not too late, and went over to Blizzard Beach. The sun was beating down upon us, and as we walked to my Ford Focus to take the short drive over, I realized that we had to dig the car out from under a mountain of pine straw.

After that feat of digging, we took the car over, and stopped just inside for our favorite photopass spot. . .

(Please excuse my looks) :scared1: Disney food agrees a little too well!

After riding Teamboat Springs a couple of times, dh wanted to try his hand at Summit Plummet. . .go ahead, I said. I stayed with kids in the kiddie area. But I am oh, so glad for the photopass photographer on Summit Plumet:

Photo0545.jpg

And my favorite picture of all:

Photo0547.jpg

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Meanwhile, the kids are playing over in the kids' area. Look at the concentration on Boo's face!

When that was over, and dh was back, I decided to go over to Summit Plummet myself, but when I got to the top, I chickened out and did this one:

Photo0548.jpg

We kept on playing arounf the park for another 2-3 hours. It was after lunch when we left, but not before we noticed this fellow setting up for pictures, and we had to stop! NO LINE!

Photo0551.jpg

As we left Blizzard Beach, we realized it was truly a great morning there--it was after 1pm, and there were plenty of people there, but what a great day for a waterpark!

Coming up. . .FINALLY Earl of Sandwich.

:scared1:Great pictures....I love how they have PP's everywhere! I don't blame you for chickening out....I did the same thing....and I found the one we actually did was bad enough
