How many reservations can I make for other people?

We have a bunch of points we're not going to be able to use by the end of the year. I's like to offer them up to my friends, and make reservations in their names. However, one couple would like just 2 nights, another would like 3 nights, etc.

Can I make multiple reservations for other people's names using my points, or am I limited to only doing this once? I'd like to use as many of the points as possible, so I don't want to "blow" my only chance to make a reservation for someone else with just a 2 nights stay for them, you know?

My DSis has had quite a few 1-3 night DVC trips with our points when we're not there. I think there's some sort of targeting people with many reservations in other people's names because of renting points issues. However, some people say this would come to play with perhaps 20 reservations. I don't know, but I don't hesitate to book small getaways for friends.

You might also consider a deposit to RCI of either 160 or 270 points which will give you a very usable exchange option or any one of a number of other exchanges like CC, DC, DCL.

Just confirming - there is no limit to the number of reservations you can make other than than the number of points you own. Doesn't matter whose name you put on the reservation.

If you plan to make multiple reservations for others on a regular basis, you may draw some scrutiny from DVC. There is a clause in the POS that prohibits commercial renting. Apparently, they start looking more closely at members for that when they have 20 or more reservations in a year. Even if you do make more than 20 this year, sounds like you'd have no problem explaining why.
