How many re-locating threads are there going to be on here at once?

Does it seem strange to anyone else with all the relocating threads (from other country to US) or did they all decide at the same time. It just seems really strange !!!

Not sure...but I consider it an Economy issue of sorts. My hubby was laid off and we have to go where jobs are. I'm sure others are in the same boat. I know several in my area that are relocating. And of those, many are relocating to the same general area (from Florida to DC).

Sign of the times---at least for our area.

Movers come for us in a week and me and the kids are on a train in 13 days. It was not a welcome transition as it was not our choice--but it is turning into a blessing in disguise.

(**hubby's job loss was directly related to a cut in govt funding. Can't say much more than that.)

I only saw one "relocating from outside the continental US" thread, but there might be more. I don't think people realize that America is not the place of opprotunity it once was. Hopefully we bounce back, well, I KNOW we will, but now is not the time to be uprooting a family and coming here without having something lined up. I feel bad for people coming here without realizing how bad the job market is.
