How many Premiere tickets to the celebration in November were available?

My sister is asking me this and I dunno what to tell her. Everyone she knows that wanted them didn't get them....except for me. I am trying to find the answer online but am not seeing it.

Does anyone know?

I have no idea. But I'm guessing it was not very many at all. I'm still bitter and ticked off at the whole thing to be honest. I could barely get onto the website to book and it was sold out by time I jumped through their 200 million hoops of website glitches. None of my friends were successful either.

Now I'm stuck with the crappy Celebration package which oddly enough is still available two weeks later. We're going mainly because we had already gotten ourselves excited about it beforehand, so while it's not at all what we wanted, we'll have to make due with just the Q&A and hope the butterbeer sugar rush keeps us from feeling disappointed the whole time we are there and we can't do the Gala or autographs.

I'm sorry you didn't get tickets. My sister had heard only 150 were offered but I've found nothing to tell me if this is just a rumor or not. We managed to get on like 2 minutes before the time the tickets were suppose to go on sale...but couldn't order until right at the time basically but since we were already on the site we were able to be ready to hit buy, and while the website froze for a few minutes we managed to get through within 10 minutes of them going on sale. I have heard of many disappointed people though for sure, since with so few offered and so many people online getting tickets was really hard. I've even heard that the tickets were sold out within 20 minutes but I dunno if this is true either. People were still trying to get tickets an hour later...but the site was frozen that whole time and it wasn't marked as sold out until 45 minutes after the sale started (at least that was when I saw it marked as sold out on my comp).

My biggest issue was that while it said "limted amount" they did not at all indicate that this was so limited that you had to go about it like you were facing down scalpers on Ticket Master for a hot concert ticket. To be sold out that fast, goes beyond limited and into the "WHAT?" catagory, especially considering the price. They hyped this event out the wazzoo and at some point really should've gone over just how limited these premiere packages really were. I've never seen vacation pacakges go that fast before and was not at all prepared for it. It really did leave me feeling ho-hum about Universal, even though since they opened Potter they have become my favorite vacation desitination.

I definitely agree with that. The limited amount of tickets was very limited considering the number of fans that are out there. I mean it is good for the people who got the tickets since that means that the many events won't be completely swarmed like they were at the opening, but in the end there were many disappointed people.

Like most Harry Potter things, people never seem to be able to predict how popular these events will be. I'm still amazed by how many people purchase the normal Harry Potter packages!

Sounds like people from all over the country were jumping at this opportunity.

Since the premiere packages are still available for UK and Latin America, I wonder if they don't sell, if that's when the "Limited number of tickets" will be available.

Oh that would make sense. I bet that is it. I guess that higher cost of travel and etc. are keeping more people from buying those tickets which might be good for those who still wanted them...but then again if they already bought the lesser tickets that might not be possible. Hmm.....:confused3.

I thought we got online to order at exactly time stated, but my wife noted the time as 4 minutes early. I am willing to guess this is the only way we got the Premiere package. I would also guess the number of packages to be way more than 150. Considering all the Hp fans who would see this as their only chance to meet their favorite actors I could see 1000 selling out within minutes. I personally hope the celebrity available is someone good, I would hate to think I am spending this for someone like a production assistant. Regardless I am sure we will have a great time. I am also hoping that if packages for UK doesnt sell out that they will offer them for US purchase. I would love to see people like fairyprincess88 given a chance to upgrade their package.

Wow! I just called and oh my goodness the info I got. LOL!

I called to see if I could get more information and also to see what view our room had. The guy on the phone said that there were under a couple hundred premiere tickets sold, so the 150 that I was told isn't too far off it seems. Also the tickets weren't suppose to offer the upgrade to a hotel on site, but it did happen for a short time....and only 15 rooms on site were booked with the premiere tickets...so ya it was a glitch that we got a room on site. Also he was working that day...and the tickets sold out by 12:18 there time....so in 18 minutes they were out of premiere tickets!

I hope that fairyprincess88 and others are offered the ability to upgrade if anything comes available. I can't believe how crazy it was that they only offered so few, but I think they are trying to control the craziness that happened at opening. All I can say is...WOW!

Surprising indeed. Sounds very limited, however, If that is the case I am sure they will offer more. I cannot imagine just a few hundred of us at the Gala event. I am beginning to wish I had been able to book onsite. Its not going to be the same without staying at the HRH.

Well at least you got some premiere tickets. I'm really wondering what this Gala event will be. Maybe an after hours at the park w/ free food, drinks, and entertainment? I'm excited. I'm feeling very lucky about getting what I did since there was more limited availability than I thought. Hopefully it is all worth it. I'm pregnant so I can't go on the rides, but then again I'm not really a rides person anymore anyways. I am looking forward to the shops, scenery, and other things at the WWoHP. :-)

Oh ya...and since there are tickets still for sale in UK and Latin America I'm sure there will be at least another maybe 200 or so people at the event. So my guess maybe 500 total??

I guess we were really lucky then because we got the Hard Rock Hotel. I too was on before the official time and kept refreshing my browser. I was able to start the process a few minutes before the official noon time listed. I'm sorry others missed out but I am glad they are keeping the numbers to something reasonable. Here's hoping that a few more open up if they can't sell the overseas packages.
