How many pictures do you take at Disney?

We're going to get a new digital camera before our trip, and we're trying to figure out the total price, including memory sticks (sony camera). We're thinking 1-1gb memory stick and 1-512mb stick, which should hold around 900 pictures. That sounds like a lot, but last time I went to disney, I didn't have a digital camera so I KNOW I'll be taking tons of pictures, especially of DDs. How many pictures do you normally take, and what size/how many memory cards do you have? Thanks!

I have a digital camera and a film camera that I always take. I've also found that the more trips I take, the less pictures I take, however since you never know who or what you might see, I still always have both. Anyway, for my digital camera, I have a 128 mb memory stick, and a 512 mb memory stick, and unless I take a lot of video, I've never had a problem with space. It also depends on what size I have the pictures set to; if I have them set on the 5 pixel thing [sorry for being so non-technical there ;] they take up more space; I usually keep it on the 3.1 setting because for what I'm taking pictures for, it's plenty...although with the 512 card, my DH says I shouldn't take anything less than a 5!! Anyway, I think from the last 2 trips I had over 200 pictures altogether on the digital camera, and I wasn't out of room on either memory stick. And although I always bring multiple rolls of film, I sometimes don't even go through a whole roll anymore...

I bought extra digital cards off of Ebay. It was a great cost saving way to get the extra memory for those Disney Pictures. With the ability to erase what I don't want I usually still end up with about 300 for a 1 week trip.

On some trips, I've taken around 24 rolls of film. :sunny: My DH bought me a digital camera in April and on our short weekend trip in April, I took about 500 pictures and used up my 1 gb card. For our last trip, I didn't take as many pictures, but I brought the same amount of cards as you mentioned. The great thing about having a digital camera is that I could delete what pictures I didn't like. Gotta love that!

Enjoy your trip and your camera! :wizard:

We still take about 6-10 rolls of film(hubby prefers his camera), and about 100 pictures with DD's digital. Even though we have been many times we still find lots of photo ops.

Um last time we were at DW 5 days and the beach 3 days and took 27 rolls :rotfl: This year DH got me a digital version of my film camera and we're staying 10 days (I guess he was afraid I'd take 54 rolls :rotfl2: ) I'm taking my 1 gb and 512 mb memory sticks, the laptop to download pics and 2 of those 512 mb USB memory sticks. I hope that's enough :rotfl:

even though we make it almost ever year we still take SO MANY pictures- DW is into scrapbooking so there can never be enough pictures for her. We'll have the same shot of us in every spot from each year it seems like. It's not fun to see the weight we put on as the years go by. Darn free dining plan!

We take about 400 pictures. We like to take pictures and I like to scrapbook them. Nice thing about digital is being able to delete the bad ones and not having to pay for the bad ones :sunny:

I take between 400-700 pictures with my digital camera depending on the length of the trip and who is traveling with us.
If I find myself running out of space near the end of the trip I go through the camera and delete the ones that obviously didn't come out too well to make some room. I don't always delete the bad ones as we go along.

We take a ton of pictures! Using a digital has been really nice now that you can get your prints done just about anywhere. I will take 200 pictures a day if I am presented with a lot of photo ops, so I tend to download the pictures onto the laptop at night. I have a couple of 512mb cards. A useful feature on our laptop is a small dock for memory cards, so no need to bring extra cables to hook the camera up to the computer. Big help!

Good luck!

Our memory card has between 200-250 pictures on it. That's about the number I've taken on my last two trips. Suddenly I feel like I'm missing a whole bunch of photo spots throughout the world :rotfl:

Over the years, I have had pictures of just about everything at Disney. So I amy not take as many pictures as some others obviously would. We were there for a week in June and took about 100 pictures. Now, on the flip side of that, I had a friend that when he went on his first trip for only 4 days, they took 750 pictures. I guess the more you go, you are a little more selective of what you photograph.

We are definitely in the "take more pictures every year" group. We just returned from a two week trip and counting photos and video taken from our digital camera, we shot about, get this, 8GB of data!! I guess you could take into consideration that we used a 6MP camera and video stores at 1MB per minute, but we didn't take THAT much video! I guess we just love taking photos.

Anyway, getting back to the topic on hand, we had a 1GB card that we used and downloaded the media every night while we recharged the battery. We had both a laptop and a 20GB portable media device, which is great to carry around with you and see any photos you have taken on a screen larger than the camera's built-in one.

When we went to Dec for 2 weeks in Dec we took 1233 digital and about 6 rolls of film! When we went in June we took 1136 digitals.

I usually take about 20-25 rolls of film per trip. DH really monitors my pictures taking ($$ of developing is so high) so I am lucky to do that. If I had a digital with me I probably would double or triple that, without having to change rolls of film you could just snap, snap, snap away. I am so slow about getting digitalis printed though I am kinda glad that I don't take it. I LOVE Disney pics, they are my favorite souvenir form Disney. :cool1:

I take about 2000 to 3000 when we go for 11d/10n. I  taking photos of Disney!!!!!!!!

I took about 400on my digital , my sister on her digital about 250, then she sent me her copies from the same trip, so about 650 the last trip. Im a avid photographer so its nothing for me to fill up my memory cards..

On our last trip I took almost 2000 but kept only just over 1300 and transferred to CD----and this was with me deleting pictures off the card before bed each night! :teeth:
We had 2-512mb cards and a 64 mb card--we would just go to Walgreen's each night and transfer all to CD.
Plus I took 3 rolls on my 35mm!

Last year on a 6-night trip I took 350 (plus a few that were deleted immediately). I had 2-128 meg sticks, so had to copy to CD each night. This year I taking 2 1-gig sticks, and praying it's enough (should be about 500 pics). I think I can actually put about 450 on each stick, but as the stick fills the camera takes too long to record.
