I have 4 beagles. My Wilma is 14; she's the Queen of the Universe. She's deaf, and she pees a million times a day, but we thank God for every day we have with her. Freddie (Frederica) is 13. She's got a bad heart problem, and we just found out she only has a month or two to live.

She's on medication, though, and she's doing pretty well, considering. She still has the energy to scam food and try to get into the trash! We're hoping for more time with her than the doctor predicts. We've had her since she was a wee pup, and she's our baby. Lucy is my little girl. We rescued her 3 years ago, and we don't know how old she is - my DH found her running along a country road. She was emaciated, dehydrated, and covered with ticks. She's a doll-baby, but she's afraid of her own shadow. Finally, my Desi (Desiree') is about 4. She, too, was a rescue. She belonged to a hunter who was going to shoot her because she doesn't "run rabbits."

She's a sweetie-pie, but she's a piggy, and she's built like an aircraft carrier.
Beagles are the BEST! They have the sweetest souls.
