Just curious how many dvc'ers have only stayed at their home resort and never ventured out to try the others? I know I love SSR and have stayed twice...we purchased DVC last Jan. but we would like to try all of of them.

I own at OKW, prefer to stay there most of the time but I had to try them all. I like them all, but still like prefer the vibe at OKW.
Preference order- OKW-AKV-BWV-VB-HH and I don't really care for BCV or SSR.

We bought BWV a few years ago......all our trips have been to our home resort. My DW just loves the place. But she has mentioned she would like to try the BCV someday.

We bought SSR 3 years ago and have only stayed there (and have never even tried to stay elsewhere I might add). We love SSR and although part of us wants to try [some] of the other DVC's, we haven't been able to bring ourselves to do that yet. We've visited them all (and stayed at AKL, not DVC though) and none of them have the pull that returning to SSR does. That won't change this year, we'll be staying at SSR again. :teeth: 2009? We'll see!

:)

Most of my points at at OKW - and so are most of my stays :thumbsup2 I also own at VB and a handful of points at BWV - for the BW view occasionally.

Even though I have owned for a long time (with 2 or 3 visits per year), I have never stayed, nor wanted to, at BCV, VWL, AKL or SSR.

Happy with what I own :)

We purchased SSR in '06. After 5 trips we'll be making our first stay elsewhere this October (trying BWV for a few days before SSR).

We visit the other resorts, usually for a meal, but SSR is more homey to us. I can't miss those long scenic walks and very accessible pool. It just feels like we're at an exclusive resort that just happens to be near a crowded theme park.

And when we bought, we initially thought we'd be like gypsies trying them all. But when VWL was booked for December and we ended up at SSR, we got seduced.

We bought at SSr in 2004 and have not been able to tear ourselves away. We have booked vacations at AKV (we own there as well) then cancelled them. We were booked at BCV for the kids for an upcoming trip in May but we decided to have our youngest's 5th b-day at WDW in August and go ahead with our no parks anniversary trip to WDW in June. Both are at SSR but we have wait listed AKV for the August trip. We will see what happens.:wizard:

Everyone has their thing that feels magical to them, for us it is the classical design of the villas at SSR that cannot be beat. We really like the rooms there in terms of interior designs more than any others in WDW. We love the color pallete of the exterior, being right near DTD for dining options and shopping. SSR is classy and magical.:wizard:

AKV got us because it is totally different from any other resort anywhere. We have been to Africa and have a special love for it so it's wonderful to have a taste of Africa in the states.:wizard:

We may do BCV for a few days in the future for the kids.

We bought OKW in '94 and have only stayed there. We've talked about staying elsewhere, but never seem to get around to doing it. I guess we're stuck in a (nice) rut. :upsidedow

We prefer to stay at our home resort most of the time, but since we don't always plan 11 months ahead, it's not always possible. We have stayed at all of the WDW DVC resorts and like them all to varying degrees for various reasons. So even though we are of the opinion that our home resort "is best", the rest of them ain't bad either!

While we've had occasional cash reservations at POP, our only point reservations, since 1992, have been OKW.

We've only stayed on points at BWVs. I'm too lazy to do a seven month switch. We have done cash trips to CRO resorts.

We own points at the three resorts we are interested in staying at so we always have the 11 month window. We have only stayed in these 3.

I have mild interest in some day trying BCV or OKW. I have zero interest in Saratoga, HH or VB.

We mostly stay where we own, BWV, VB, VWL, AKV, BCV. However, we wouldn't be adverse to staying at OKW, SSR or HHI:goodvibes HHI is the only one we've not tried yet.

We have owned since 1997 and have never stayed anywhere other than OKW. We like it so much that we are quite happy staying there. We love the relaxed atmosphere and being Parrottheads, it takes us back to our roots!!!

We bought in Feb. '93 and have 50+ DVC trips under our belt. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge Villas once, Saratoga twice, and all the rest were OKW. I do have one night booked for Beach Club Villas before leaving for the WB repo cruise. We just love our OKW and though we often talk about switching things up and booking a vacay at one of the other resorts, we never go through with it.

We've owned since Oct 05 @ BWV and have taken 4 trips to WDW since joining with a total of 27 days-- Out of 27 day we have spent 4 at VB (very nice), 1 at AKL(just had to try it), 1 at the BCV (again had to try SAB- but never got too ) and 21 days at the BWV!!! 7 Days with a boardwalk view and 14 days in a standard.

We met some OKW owners and they had never stayed at their home resort. Stayed at all, including HHI and VB. :)

We have only been owners for a few years now. We have taken about 15 trips, about 90 days worth. All have been at our home resort.

We are getting away to VB over memorial day weekend. That will be our first non-home resort DVC trip.

We have gone on 2 DVC stays.....for a total of 16 nights. 13 were at our home resort SSR and 3 were at BWV. IN July we take our 3rd trip and we are going for 13 nights. We are at OKW for 7 and BCV for 6. :cool1:

Newbie here....stayed at WL 2x and bought DVC.....

Haven't stayed there since I bought DVC....too busy trying them all.
Finally going back to WLV(well haven't stayed in villa part yet) in OCT.

In the meanwhile I've been to SSR and BCV....soon to come BWV and OKW.
