How many people have had luck when requesting specific rooms?

Is it worth the effort? Who did you contact and did you do anything special with your request (pretty pictures faxed in, etc?)

We would really like to try and get a deluxe club room but don't know if it is worth taking the chance. There are no plain old deluxe rooms available for when we want to go and club is only $249/night.

Anyone know the numbers of the deluxe clubs other than 7041?

Thanks guys!

A faxed room request (and I have never been specific as to the room number until I'm at the desk checking in) for the floor, view and the Tower four days before arrival has worked every time at RPR. They did include hand drawn cartoons like Shrek dressed as the Mummy or Bullwinkle in a grass skirt. I have never had any luck with this strategy at PBH. It worked at HRH for an upper floor.

I faxed a request to the RPR (without any cartoons!) a few days before arriving. I listed six room numbers I would like and we did get one of them.

I would also like to know the answer to this. What, in your opinion, would be the "good" rooms at the Hard Rock?

We Leave on Tuesday Woo Hooooooo! :moped:

I'd like to know the same recommendation for 2 club level rooms at PBH next month. Any specific rooms recommended?

Room 6019 at the HRC is a deluxe room, 2 queen beds & a coach with a pull out. Table & chairs 1 dresser, big closet & dressing area, bathroom & sink outside bathroom. Very nice room. - This room was in front of the hotel, so when looking at the window you looked over the vallet area & the red roof. Not bad - didn't spend too much time looking out the window. The room is away from the elevator & ice machine, so you really don't have noise in the hallway. Prior to checking in I did fax a letter asking for a "nice view of the pool", but didn't get it. It really didn't matter as long as the room was clean & was comfortable.

I also would like suggestions for a specific deluxe room to request at PBH. We'll be there mid-July. There are five of us, so we need a room with two queen beds, plus we're getting a rollaway. :cool1:

I faxed my request to RPR a week or so before my arrival date. I didn't have a specific room number in mind. But, I did have lots of specifics about what I'd like...nice view, connecting rooms, non-smoking, etc. I received an email from them a few days after I had sent them my fax. They basically just said they got my fax and would do their best...they were nice & very polite. When I got there, I had gotten everything I had asked for. :)

Strange thing...They sent a card & a plate of chocolate covered strawberries to me & my boyfriend. They sent my Mom (in the connecting room) the same thing and cookies & milk for my Niece. I'm not sure why we got those special treats. We both requested fruit & water for our welcome amenity and got that as well. :goodvibes

Oh yeah, I didn't include any pics of Shrek or anything like that in my fax.

I always call the hotel 3-4 days out and let them know which room I would like to stay in. They have always honored my specific (room #) requests. I was even able to do this on an unexpected trip to RPR when I called the morning of our arrival to book my rooms and make my room requests. When I arrived only hours later, they had given me a Loews Plat upgrade to a suite and gave my sister the room I had requested.
