have a blast

We are in the singles!!! YAY!!!! Just 8 days for us. We leave next Saturday and drive down. We are blacked out Saturday so we will drive that day and spend some time at the pool with the kids. We are staying at the Crowne Plaza for the first 3 nights and then going to the HoJo for another night. Never stayed at the CP before, we are getting a free stay though so we will do it. :) We are members of Shell Vacations Explorers club and we got offered a free stay if we go back for another seminar. :) We won't upgrade but we will take the free hotel! LOL

We took the girls April of '06, it was a complete surprise. They were 6 & 9 at the time. I packed for them and then we loaded the van the night before we left after they were in bed. We got up in the morning like normal, the only difference was DBF was with us. They did ask why but we had a good reason in place, then when we got onto Hwy 12 they were really confused and asked where we were going. We said "on a long drive" and that was our answer every time they asked. When we got there we drove past DL to our hotel (Radisson Maingate) and they still didn't realize where we were. We checked in and they finally asked if we could visit DL since it seemed so close. I asked why it seemed close and they pointed out the Mickey clocks, the Mickey's on the shirts of the employees, the Mickey brochures etc etc. LOL The clerk was trying really hard not to laugh (we had let him know they didn't realize why we were there when they were wandering around the lobby) but he kept it together for us. :) We went to our room and I finally gave them our packet and they were soooooooooooooo excited!!! LOL We had a great time and went back in July '07. That time we did a treasure hunt for the package and then we surprised them again at the end of that trip by upgrading to AP's. :)

:cool1: 17 MORE DAYS!!!! I think i'm more excited than the kids!!!! Hubby said this will be the last trip for a few years as we have gone the last 3 years in a row.:sad2: We need to make it the best trip ever! Also this is the first time ever alone at Disney as a family! Last 2 times we went with family.I can't wait to do whatever we want, whenever we want!!!!

Hi,

We're staying at BWPPI for the first time in May for 2 nights and in June for 7 nights. Have you stayed there before? If not, could you let us know how you liked it when you get back? Thanks:)

Have a great trip!!

The last time we stayed at BWPPI was 12 years ago so we are curious on how it will be this time. We are looking forward to being so close. On all of our recent trips we have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian, but we wanted to save some money and yet still be near the entrance.

I will report back on how it went when we return.:) Enjoy your trip in May :thumbsup2

8 days for me! My youngest DS is coming too, and he doesn't know yet. ;)

It is just a day trip though, there are 4 middle schools from our area each taking 2-3 bus loads of students down for their 8th grade trip, and my oldest DS will be aboard one of those buses. He really wanted me to come along too, but I'm flying instead of riding a bus all night to get there! :woohoo:

Look at all of us that leave in 8 days!! I love it!! I'll have my LGMH keychain on my lanyard around my neck! Look for me!!

Will arrive in the afternoon on April 3. Yipee:banana:

I am so excited. Three friends (I've known since kindergarden) and myself will be celebrating our 50th birthday disney style.

We have been planning this trip for over a year and decided that we are just going to let go and be a kid again. We have our minnie ears, tiara's and crowns packed and plan on wearing them and acting 5. :wizard:

Would love to say hi to fellow disser's, so look for the crazy lady in the ECV with 3 other crazy fun lovin ladies. :dance3:

Shoot! Leaving on the 2nd or I'd look for you! I'm doing my 51st birthday at DLR!

I will buying mouse ears and putting the allien green on them. So everybody say hi. Oh and of course looking for Albort.

I've got another 4 months before my DL trip, but I am in single digits for my trip to Disneyland Paris, so I'll join in the dance too if that's OK!! I hope you all have fab trips.

LGMH stands for "lime green Mickey head" :) Home Depot has them and I think many DIS board members have "borrowed" a few. Anybody out there (besides me) who has visited Home Depot for the sole purpose of getting some LGMHs?
