I'm fairly new to scrapbooking. I'm working on my first disney album. I don't want to go overboard. So, my question is how many pages, on average is everyone's disney scrapbook?

Sorry I can't help...I go overboard each trip and my "scrapbook" ends up in volumes.

I use post bound albums so that I can add or remove pages as needed. From there, I go through my photos and try to put together which ones I want to include. That can give a fair guess about how many pages you need.

I go way beyond overboard. My son has two scrapbooks for his first two years and I have been doing three the last three years. My disney book is probably the smallest, I did about 75 pages I think

Bad question for me too, my disney albums usually end up in volumes also... I have even started just doing themed Disney albums so one album for one park, or event.

but other albums that i have done have had anywhere from 30-60 pages

There isnt a right or wrong amount to have in an album but then again I tend to be one of the scrappers that does my trips by volumns.

I say when its done, that is how many pages it is. :)

I have 90 pages done far for 6 of our 7 day trip. So l probably am not the one to ask!

Thanks everyone, I take it from everyones posts they have several trips scrapped in one album? Cause you all have me worried with the 75 and 90 pages. I have 12 pages done (a few more to go) just with last September's trip.

I don't typically put my trips in a separate album (but I do them multiple times for my kids). I know. A lot of extra work, but I'd like my kids to have their own pictures. I wish I had them from the trips of my youth. But I digress... In my album, I probably have about 12 pages as well. The kids get a little less. I hope that helps. :confused3

Well....let's see our 14 night DCL Panama Canal cruise in May 2005 + 4 days at Disneyland afterwards = 150 pages so far....and I'm only have 9 days of our cruise done and I haven't even started the Disneyland part....I'm probably not the best person to ask... :rotfl2:

I'm glad I'm not the only one- I have 90 pages from 6 days! But I couldn't leave anything out of our first family trip to WDW! I have to say that I had over 800 pictures and 168 were Photopass, so I am actually in the pictures, too! It has been the most fun scrapbooking so far!

I'm glad I'm not alone....I am hoping I can finish the cruise part in the 3rd album I just started, I am going to use the DCL scrapbook for the actual Panama Canal day and my Disneyland albums for Disneyland.

I had a hard time "editing" the pictures because they all turned out so well...even the ladies at my photolab mentioned that they were very few "bad" photos....I personally took over 1,500 pictures - over 200 from our voyage through the Panama Canal itself....and was sent CD's of pictures from fellow cruisers so I think all total I ahve over 5,000 pictures from this trip of a lifetime.

I try to use my scrapbooks more as a "photo album" as I have some pages with no journaling because the pictures speak for themselves....

I will have 42 pages from the Disney portion of our 6 day trip, but I still need to scrap the beach pictures and Sea World pages! We only spent 3 days at Disneyland and I managed to milk 42 scrapbook pages out of it.

I think we're all a bit obsessed on this board so we might not be the best ones to ask about going overboard. :rotfl:

I always do a new Disney scrapbook (I buy a WDW album at my resort) for each trip. I make sure each trip will fit in ONE album...I can't see doing multiple scrapbooks for one trip. I just make myself pick out the best pics & go with those.

I usually have to add about 4 or 5 extra pages to one Disney album & then my book is complete. For our last trip though, I managed to fit the entire trip in one album without having to add any extra pages.

There is no magic number. Just decide on how much money and time you have for the project and go from there! I personally do not scrap every picture I take. I just pick the best and organize then by layouts before I print. Good luck!

The only Disney album I actually have finished was for a 3 day trip with just my dh (no kids along). Right now, everything is crammed into one album, using post extenders. It looks terrible. I know I'm going to have to split it up, but there's no natural place for doing it. As I was sketching ideas for an album for our last trip, I tried to find natural breaking places for separate albums. We had just gotten a digital SLR and took tons of wonderful pictures of the kids. I just don't want to leave any out.

which one? :lmao: I take way too many pictures.. I made a mistake on my last disney book and combined 3 trips so it took me 4 books to get all my pages in.. :rotfl2: I just started my trip from March and I figure that I can get it all in 2 books.. Right now Im just doing the pages and then will figure out which ones go in which book.. Sad thing is I have another trip in September to DisneyWorld and I plan on taking tons of pictures.. Not sure what Im gonna do about those yet..

Hah!! I've got all of ya'll beat. 2 weeks at xmas, after deleting the bad pics we have 5000 pictures. And yes, I feel the need to scrap them all.... I'll probably finish it in, oh, about 20 years.....
dH is camera happy but that's ok I use it as an excuse to by more scrap stuff. ;)

As for finished albums, forget it, I'm still working on the 2004 trip and I have 4 trips in 2005 I haven't even printed yet.
