How Many Own at Both BWV and BLT?

We own at both & will doing a split stay at both next week!

We had been staying at the Poly for years, going every other year or so while I was still working. The year they decorated the castle into a cake was not a year we were planning to go, but I felt it was a 'once in a lifetime' type of thing and convinced DH we just had to go see it and take our 2 nieces 15 & 11, and 2 nephews 11 & 9 with us. Because it was a relatively last-minute trip, we couldn't get rooms at the Poly. The travel agent then suggested we try the Yacht Club. It soon became our new favorite and two years later in '99 we stayed there again. On the last day of that trip, we noticed a desk with info about the BWV, took the boat over, toured the model and when DH saw the 1 BR, he was sold. We signed the papers a few hours later. We've since added on 200 points twice and haven't ever regretted our decision.

When BLT was announced, I was very intrigued because the idea of walking to and from MK was so appealing. DH, on the other hand, had no interest whatsoever (we had enough points, we only spend a day and a half at MK, etc.), but I was able to talk him into taking the tour. The tour didn't exactly sell him, but while discussing it in private and after much cajoling on my part, we finally decided to buy enough points (68) for two nights 1 BR, MK view, weekdays, Adventure Season. The guide then came back in and said if we buy 100 points, we would get the free cruise so it made sense to me, if not to DH, to buy enough points for three nights and we did. We stayed there three nights this past December, and DH was blown away. He thought watching the fireworks from our balcony was incredible and I'm happy to report that he is as happy with our purchase there as I am.

We truly do love both of our home resorts!

We own at both. DH always wants to walk to a park. We purchased BWV 1st and then added on to BLT.

Bought BWV when it was the only resort open. Wasn't really sure what DVC was all about but got hooked during the sales presentation.
We was staying at WL when we took the sales tour and I said to my friend that if WL were to open DVC I'd add on.
Guess what, WLV happened ... so I did.
Many years passed, no addonitis.

Then we went to DL and I said to DH (then DBF), if GC ever opened a DVC I'll add on over there. He said ok.
3 years later GCV open, well of course we bought.

Went on DCL and they had a killer deal for 200+ points purchase.
The only resort we are interested in other than GCV was possibly BLT. Did my number crunching and decided to add on to both GCV and BLT.

Phew... so you ask why I have BWV and BLT?
BWV because that was the only selling resort when I bought (plus I LOVE the resort)
and BLT because DVC was having a "sale" on the boat...
We'll be staying at BLT very soon... I'm excited.

We bought BW in 2005. At the time they were selling SSR and I really thought the BW was so cool and the location was just awesome. At the time I was nervous about a resale so one day I mentioned to my guide that I really wanted to buy DVC but wasn't sold on SSR due to the location. She offer the BW and I thought OMGosh!!! YES!!! We bought site unseen and it is my favorite resort.

Then rumors started flying about a DVC at the Contemporary so I started saving my pennies, because I wanted to buy into that resort due to the location and the monorail (there is just something so cool about the monorail). So we own 180 at BW and 160 at the BLT and couldn't be happier!!!

We had our 1st stay at the BLT in FEb '10 and just absolutely loved it (bought site unseen again). Love the room and the location and the feel of the resort, but the BW is still my favorite (if only just by a tiny little bit) I like the rooms at the BLT much better and love the pull out chair (so the kids don't have to sleep together) and the 2nd bathroom (with 2 girls!!) But I like the atmosphere at the BW better. Although the week we were at the BLT it was very cold and we didn't get to enjoy the outside much, but the BW is a really fun and neat place to be. And the locations just can't be beat!!!!

I feel I have the best of both worlds !!! I also love VB!!
