How Many Other DVC Members Do You Know?

I think we know 4 families that are DVC owners -- 2 are co-workers or former co-workers with my DH and the other 2 are from our church.

The only ones we know that have DVC are my cousin's in-laws. I do know of 4 or 5 families that will snatch up our points anytime we aren't using them though

DW's BFF is a member but we don't live in the same city and don't discuss DVC much at all. Not only do I not know any DVC members, I don't know of anyone with any particular interest in WDW, or Disney in general.

My boss is a owner at BCV (added on 100 points at AKV when they were on a cruise without ever stepping foot inside the place, went once and hated it, I ended up buying those points from her).

Another co-worker at OKW and SSR. She has been talking about selling one of them for a few months.

Parents talked about buying BLT but after three ROFR they gave up.

I have a first cousin who owns and we know 2 familes thru my DH's work (1 who owned before us and 1 who bought after us) plus a few other families that we've met up with thru the DIS boards over time.

ZERO. We live in the Pacific northwest haha! And many people we know have more money than time and tend to book their vacations at 3 months or less ahead of time. Most prefer DL to WDW and consider DL to be a fun weekend getaway rather than a full on vacation destination. But they ARE frequent visitors.

Before we joined DVC 13 years ago, no one. Since then we've met one other family and heard of a friend of a friend who was a member. Otherwise, like Bobbi said, only other members we've met were on here.

I know one other family who owns. He should be a salesman LOL! He loves to talk DVC and so do I do when we found out we were both Disneyites-it was a cool and fun conversation!

I'm good friends with five DVC families. We often will meet up at the parks and sometimes book the same resort.

Good friends of ours bought in a few years ago after joining us for a trip.

My daughter's friend's family are members. We chat occasionally.

And I have a coworker who is also a member.

In 2007 I met my best friend here on the DVC boards (yes we are both DVC).

We started chatting on the DIS, learned that we live 15-20 minutes apart, & all of our kids are the same ages. She really is my best friend....we event text each other a dozen times a day.

Our families have flown down together & vacationed DVC together many times.

Our DDs also because best friends as well (they call each other "Disney Sister").


I'm a teacher and also have several teacher-friends at my school who are DVC members.

Our best friends were original buys at OKW and let us stay there on their points which helped us realize DVC was the way to go.

Another couple bought in a couple years ago after hearing us talk about it so much. Now their kids just bought into Aulani.

And I know 2 people from school who own too.

Our MC at our wedding has been for a number of years and we are meeting for dinner in march at Chef de France this year. End of our trip and beginning of theirs. We are hosting another couple this weekend that are clients of my DW and are more Disney then us. hmm.
And just recently Roy who we met thru the Canadian friends link has set up some meet and greats in Toronto, Thanks Roy, and is hosting again this Saturday that I hope to be at.
Wowo Sat is an all Disney day, Lunch then Dinner great lead up to vacation time.
