How many of you have lockers?

I added Shot glasses to my locker a few trips ago. Those run about $9 each at the gift shops onsite (no car or desire for offsite last few trips).

I keep liquor and wine in my locker (nicely padded of course), but after last trip with just me and the boys, I need more wine!:rotfl:

Next trip we will have a car because we are driving to HHI, so I will restock then.

Love my locker and I dont feel like I need to run to the stores when Im there. I just live off the Disney economy and I still save money because I have so much in my locker, I only need to purchase a few things.

Not needing a rental car is a huge savings for me!

Having ME and OL makes travelling to WDW so easy!:wizard: I can go from home to HOME in 3-4hrs:cloud9:

First and Foremost, the service is OUTSTANDING!!!!

My bags fly free also, but I dont have alot of free time to pack everything we need each trip, and that is my job, so OL makes my job waayyy easy!

On our last trip I hinted that the laundry detergent in our locker was taking up a lot of valuable "adult beverage" space!

We love our OL and keep rain gear, fitted sheets, sunblock, blow dryer, flip flops, hair care products, first aid, and of course a shot glass, margarita fixings and bottle of good whiskey!

We keep the only two important items, a 12 year old bottle of single malt scotch and a fan.:banana:Just kidding, we have a few insignificant items in there to protect the scotch.:goodvibes

Initially I debated the cost of lockers. Then it dawned on me that we have spent thousands of dollars on DVC because we want to maximize our vacation experience. So why worry about the small fee for an Owner's Locker that makes my DVC vacation so much nicer? We have 2 lockers and are contemplating a 3rd because we use a lot of space in our lockers to store Christmas stuff for our annual December trip.

How much does a locker cost and is it a per year charge?

https://www.ownerslocker.com/how/

You pay a one time fee of $75 for the locker itself. It is yours to keep, even if you dicontinue service.

Your cost will depend on how many trips you make each year.

The annual storage fee is $99 & includes one visit (i.e. delivery & pickup). Additional visits are $25. There is a Premium Plan available that includes unlimited visits & storage for $179.

Your anniversary will be the date you have your locker returned to the warehouse (your WDW departure day) and you will not be charged until then. There is a money back guarantee so you really have nothing to lose by trying.

Their website is useful with an inventory list & other account info easily accessible. "Reservations" are made on-line as well & split stays are easy as pie to arrange. Simply select the appropriate "Deliver To" & "Pick up From" resorts from the menus. Tons of Central FL properties, not just WDW.

The only thing I don't like is when I get my text message telling me my OL has arrived at my resort before I have... makes me jealous :goodvibes

we love ours! I think we will be adding a second locker in the near future! Well worth the price!

We have one and we love it. Used it for 2 trips last year and 2 this year but the next few years probably only once each but it's definately worth it. DH was sure at first but he's a big fan now too.

I was totally skeptical but DH was all for it. After 2 trips I am totally a convert. Some things we have
~almost all toiletries, sunblock, shave cream, razors, toothpaste, after sun lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, bandaids, Tylenol, Aleve etc
~beach towel
~blanket
~ponchos
~lanyards and pins
~refillable mugs
~sand toys for DS
~autograph book and sharpies
~Tide
~shout stick
~bleach pen
~different sizes Ziploc bags

Can I ask - does anyone actually keep all of their vacation clothes, toiletries & shoes in one - and are therefore able to travel with hand luggage only??

It is my dream to just vacation with hand luggage - as we both get really stressed with lugging suitcases around (and worrying if they will arrive at the carousel at the other end!!)

I know that we will always need to take clothes etc for our two growing boys, but thought that DH & I could leave our 'vacation' clothes there.

I have yet to stay at my new DVC - but thought that we would need less clothes as we will now have a washer/dryer in the villa :confused3- or am I just in dream land!!!:lmao:

I know a lot of you use it for crock pots etc, but we are from the UK and one of the best parts of our vacation is trying out all of the US restaurantspopcorn::, so waffle irons etc are not going to be our priority for our OL!!:goodvibes

We don't leave much there in the line of clothes, but we do leave shoes. With the in room laundry, we take only 3 or 4 outfits each and that same number of underthings. Then we wash something each day, so not a problem. We are able to go down with a snall carry on roller bag for each of us plus our laptops.

We have all of our Disney shirts and sweatshirts for every kind of weather stored in our lockers. Our Disney Christmas stuff takes up most of one of our lockers so we are contemplating getting a 3rd locker so we can also leave other clothes, though we are already able to travel with just a carry-on holding underwear, swimsuit, shorts/pants/capris, shoes. Everything else we need is already in our lockers. With a 3rd locker we could actually travel with no luggage, which sounds like heaven to me. I wish that we could fly to HHI via Orlando because we will SO miss our lockers when we visit HHI.

We don't leave all our clothes (we'd need a 3rd Locker for that!) but we do have at least 1 set of clothes for each of us. I actually have the most clothes stored because I have a set of running gear (shoes included), plus several Disney specific items - a sweatshirt I very carefully hunted down onsite for the purpose of leaving it in the Locker (it had to be soft, not have a lot of embroidery and be hoodless), a plaid sundress with embroidered Mickeys on it, and a black sundress with animal print Mickey heads. The two dresses are things I'd never wear outside of WDW anyway. ;)

I also keep swim suits for each of us and I have a swim cover-up that I also wear as a dress on hot days (it really is just an American Eagle dress, so I don't think I'm being tacky ;)).

Yes, I find we need fewer items of clothing - my challenge is to follow through on that and pack fewer items! I'm good at it with DH and DS but for me, I care too much about what I wear to pack too lightly. On this next trip I need to figure out a way to add a sweatshirt for DH and DS at the least...that means something's gotta go or a 3rd Locker will be necessary. We visit WDW at all times of the year, so I'd need a lot of clothing stored to cover all the temperature possibilities, so I don't see that happening.

I do leave swim suits and night clothes there for everyone plus a sweatshirt and rain gear for each of us as well. I also put our DVC tote and hats etc in there as well as a pair of gloves. Sometimes those January evenings get COLD!

Yes, my locker pays for itself because I maximize my cost per cubic foot with expensive liquers and wine! :lmao:

We left swimsuits in ours and a couple t shirts I only wear at Disney.

We keep some clothing in them - pj's, tennis shoes for DH and I (that alone saves a ton of suitcase room), windbreakers, t-shirts & shorts to just lounge around in, t-shirts, fleece pullovers, a Hawaiin shirt for DH, a floral sundress for me and of course hats. I am afraid to keep too much down there in case I "outgrow" them when I am not there. :scared1:

We love ours. We had problems with TSA ruining some of our belongings. We also love the "no hassle" in packing. All we pack are some clothes and we're good to go!:thumbsup2

We have misc items in our OL but the beauty is for DW and I to to WDW for several days with two small carry-ons. I'm thinking we may be able to get everything into ONE carry-on at some point. Traveling light is really nice.:earsboy:

thanks everyone :thumbsup2 - my dream would definitely be to travel with carry on only - whether we actually ever achieve it is another thing!!!;)

I have told DH that OL is my incentive to get fit - if I can get down to my 'ideal' weight by the time we go - then I am going to invest in an OL and leave all my clothes in the Owners Locker, and that will also be my incentive to keep the weight off - so that I can fit in to all my clothes when I return to WDW again!!!:lmao:
