How many of you book studios for two?

I guess it depends a lot on you. If it were just my husband and myself we would stay in a studio. There is a point savings, we do not need the extra room, we would eat out more and only re-heat leftovers in the microwave, we would not be doing laundry. With the kids I will avoid studios at all costs

We always stay in a studio when it is just the 2 of us, although I doubt I'd do a studio at OKW since there is not a couch in the room.

We've done both-1 BRs sometimes, studios sometimes. In our family, I'm the real snorer, which is probably one reason why we only book studios for shorter stays. We just stayed in a studio at BCV for 4 nites, but for a week at OKW, we always have a 1 BR. Like DisneyDi said, we don't mind the studio, but we really prefer the 1 BR and wish we had the points for a 1 BR all the time.

My husband believes one of the "joys" of DVC membership is staying in a larger unit. We usually stay at OKW, and I'm not a fan of the studios there - the balconies and the lack of a sofa. Unless there are none available, we book a one bedroom just for the two of us.

I hear you about the snoring! Even though our girls are still young, I think ahead to when I am in your position (i.e. just the 2 of us). I think b/c of the snoring issue we will still get a 1-BR. I need an "escape option" as I like to call it... when I need to get away from the snoring! Whenever we stay in regular hotel rooms I sleep terribly (despite earplugs), However, if it wasn't for his snoring - I would def go with a studio to save the points. ;)

I don't mind a studio as most of the day im out of the room. I do like the bigger space, but I don't think a 1 BR is worth double the points and I still don't have enough.

Thanks everyone for your replys! It's been fun to read all your responses...I do love the space of a 1BD, no doubt about it! But I love the smaller points on the studios, but then again I get anxiety just thinking about not sleeping due to DH snoring. He says he's going to "work on it", but I don't think he can rally help it. Anyway....thanks again for posting, it gives me lots to think about!:goodvibes

It's just my wife and I so far (no kids yet), and we always book studios. We prefer longer stays to larger accommodations (and we were always happy with our stays in normal deluxe rooms; that's why we bought DVC, not for larger rooms).
