I already wrote a letter to William Diercksen and Stephanie Young, maybe I should add this suggestion of washing points in there too, not that they care, but doesnt hurt

Until people see the price. Then they wouldn't want itDisney-- if you are watching... yes, the people want this!
It did. It was a pay to play instead of book on points. So we used points for CCV and paid $50/ night or $75 or something, can't remember, to do club level. It was in building outside called Reunion something, next to Geyser Point. We thought it was nice but not too many people did it so they axed it.It never did. People have reported that they were able to pay for it as a cash guest when they arrived for stay in the hotel side.
Until they start running the skyliner through weather I just can't see it with how long of a run that would be without an exit station. It would take better transportation options. It's basically a straight shot north of the skyliner at international gateway.

I don’t see it connecting to Epcot- but a Skyliner from TTC/contemporary to wilderness Lodge to Lakeside Lodge, would massively increase the value of both resorts.Until they start running the skyliner through weather I just can't see it with how long of a run that would be without an exit station.
Why are you posting on a dvc board then ?I’m betting I can get a better return on my money elsewhere. Never been a big fan of timeshares no matter where they are.
This is exactly how I feel. Lakeshore lodge in concept sounds great to me but I can’t commit to 50 years without a good exit strategyI wouldn’t buy a direct contract for the new resorts because they have the resale restrictions. That kills the liquidity and value of what you’re buying. I think Disney is very short sighted here. Having a liquid resale market made DVC different than other timeshares. They are killing that with the resale restrictions which I believe will discourage people from buying their product.

I would buy if the price is right just to be direct, but the price hasn't been right since 2023I'm actually super excited for it. I won't buy it, though. It's going to have more rooms than SSR. Between the number of rooms and it likely being restricted, it seems like it would be somewhat easy to book.
Why? Because the title of the thread asked a general question as opposed to one based on ownership. Why are you posting on a dvc board then ?
Finally, for the same reason you responded despite your lack of interest in the product. See how that works? This is exactly how I feel. Lakeshore lodge in concept sounds great to me but I can’t commit to 50 years without a good exit strategy
I own two dvc contracts . That’s why I am here on the dvc board . Not because I would never one a timeshare .Why? Because the title of the thread asked a general question as opposed to one based on ownership.

Congratulations on owning 2 DVC contracts; I own several real estate properties (I own two dvc contracts . That’s why I am here on the dvc board . Not because I would never one a timeshare .
I think you’re missing the point . You are talking about how bad of a return timeshares are on a timeshare board . Thats odd.Congratulations on owning 2 DVC contracts; I own several real estate properties () but as I already stated no DVC contracts.
Doesn’t mean I don’t rent just I won’t buy.
Enjoy your purchases and day.
I think it’s odd that you think the tax code is the same in every municipality and state. I only pointed out that I owned other types of R/E since you felt the need to bring that up. Tbh, I thought that .. a tad off topic and akin to boasting.I think you’re missing the point . You are talking about how bad of a return timeshares are on a timeshare board . Thats odd.
Also if you think owning dvc contracts and other real estates or assets are mutually exclusive you are wrong . I’m sure most people on here own other real estate properties and assets .
