VAgal76 Thanks for the help with the clippie. I THINK I have it figured out. I went to the test board to try it out and it didn't seem like it showed up but then when I went back to try it again, the picture was there?! I'm just no good at this computer stuff. ;)

Thanks again to EVERYONE for the well wishes for DS. We are SO happy to have him home. There is nothing worse than a sick child, it just breaks my heart.

I finally started getting email notifications again. They showed up right after I posted the last time. I'm not using AOL so I don't know what happened.

Now that DS is starting to feel better, I can get excited about our trip again. I felt a little guilty looking forward to it the past few days since he's been so sick. This vacation is sounding better and better all the time. Dreamed the other night that we were eating at GG and the table we had spun in circles and it was RAINING in the restaurant. Think I'm losing my mind.....

Hope everyone is having a nice evening

Blowinbubbles~LOL..."Bust their BOO-TAYS!!" This is what the mom SHOULD have done, but she was in on the HIJINX!

steveanddonna~I want to experience these EXTENDED MAGICAL EVES too!! But I'm not visiting until the end of July/Aug. So...if they truly want to make my stay MAGICAL, they'll EXTEND these special EVES!! LOL...

The massage sounds horrific! I hope you contacted a CM/GM as soon as possible. In the least, it may prevent this therapist (certified?) from possibly injuring anyone else. I have enjoyed so many wonderful massages over the years. Last summer, with DD @ VERO and on the DISNEY WONDER. There's nothing like a professionally administered massage to make me feel FABULOUS! I hope you are feeling better soon, and do not suffer any long-term complications from this encounter. :(

LovesDumbo~The "white pants" story is hysterical! Isn't is amazing what we chose to retain in our long-term memory? I have a STOCK-LOAD of these "WHITE PANTS" stories! They are all reserved for a nice comfy eve in front of the fire at AKL. Some, will have you on the floor...so do NOT wear WHITE PANTS! :teeth:

Luckywife~So happy to read all is MUCH better! You certainly DESERVE a vacation. Any ideas as to WHERE you'ld like to go?

Floridafam...POOEY-FOOEY on the cancellation of the GRAND1 for your upcoming trip! But, as BT wrote, it will be there for you in the fall. You'll have a wonderful time just the same, and now you'll have something more to look forward to on your next visit!

Breathless...my 1930's Classic Runabout CRAFT!!

I adore this little powerhouse...and want one for myself (summers on Lake Tahoe!).

If I reserve her for the FW cruise, I'm ordering the captain into the CENTER of the LAKE!! I will not be comfy under the bridge. I LOVE privacy...and would feel awkward with folks OOGLING from overhead! This is the same reason I dislike Glass elevators (especially while wearing a skirt), escalators (same reason), glass floors (they have them), two-way mirrors...and BRIDGES/BALCONIES, etc. (unless I'M standing upon them!!). :rotfl:

*Time to run to the post office to mail DD's party invites. We're having it early, as we'll be in FLA during her actual BD. It's less than two weeks away, and I have a lot to do. She's turning (gasp) "17" (I had her at 12)and is having a LUAU themed Bash (again!). She loves these festive events, and all the tropical stuff we use to decorate. Last summer, I had JAMBA JUICE as one of the caterers, as well as a Pizzeria (Hawaiian pizzas), and other local vendors. I need to GET BUSY...and make some calls, etc. I have to order the CLAIM JUMPER Chocolate Cake...it's a DOOZEY...and the kids (are they still kids at 17?) LOVE it!

Goofyjoofy~MY passporter and BB guide arrived yesterday via amazon. I had no idea they had a DELUXE version with a leather cover, pockets...etc. So, today, I ordered both the CRUISE/WDW in this option...and will gift my girlfriend with the others. She's visiting WDW for the first time this summer...and is SO excited. This will add to her delight/planning.

I *knew* you sounded awfully young!!!! ;)

~*~Luckywife--I'm so glad your little man is feeling better, and that your life can get back to normal! {hugs}

Well, gals, it's official. . I am seriously making myself crazy with all this Disney planning! Can you say "hyperfocus?" I'm beginning to think I'm in need of professional counseling!

Since I can turn in my Play 4 Passes before July 11, I'm thinking I can schedule *another* trip to WDW in July to do so, and would save $300 on my APs. But, duh, I'd be spending $166.00 in gas to get down there! Not to mention if I get Seasonal ones, they are no good during that period anyway. So, I could just wait and go in October, when I really want to go anyway, pay the full price for APs and be done with it.

Why is this so difficult? LOL!

But thank you all anyway for letting me come here and ramble away, I kinda get the feeling you all know where I'm coming from. hehe. . my mom sure doesn't. . she told me on the phone the other day that I have been mentioning going to WDW everytime I talk to her, and she just "doesn't understand it!" LOL! Guess I'm addicted.. it's time to go into the closet!

Hello everyone! Long time no "see."

I am back from my whirlwind weekend getaway to WDW, and it was wonderful. It was just what I needed to escape the real world for a long weekend and enjoy some good Disney magic. We were able to do most what we wanted at MK, all of what we wanted at Epcot, and the Kilimanjaro Safaris at AK. We even saw 3 elephants taking a bath while on the safari, which was so neat.

I can't believe how busy you all were while I was gone!

Now, it's on to planning my November/December trip to WDW. We are going to take a look at our trip budget to see what concierge or concierges will fit in the budget. I think we are pretty sure we at least want to give AKL concierge a try though. :)

luckywife, I am so glad to hear that your son is doing so much better! It sounds like he will be back to being well in no time. I had pneumonia as a child (when I was 11), and it was the pits. Once I got the antibiotics I felt better quickly though.

Steffy missed your earlier ? about the lounge in the AM - it was swarming one morning (Thurs. I think) when we went down early, but it cleared out pretty quickly as well. The other mornings were busy but not crazy. It was most crowded right around 5 PM, but again would clear out within a half hour or so. There were always plenty of goodies available. The CMs had a hard time keeping up with table-clearing (and they were really hustling, too) but we managed to find chairs every time. We usually head for the little 2-seater near the windows, but we did share a larger table with another couple one AM, which was actually a very nice way to start our morning. [/B]

Thanks steveanddonna.... I'm sure it's going to be just fine.... and if we get there for evenings about 5:30 that sounds good... but I'm not sure who many evenings we're going to be able to use the lounge... one of the things we like most is to sit down and eat at WDW!!!:hyper:

luckywife really happy about your DS.:bounce:

welcome home ead79!!

Moms_rules, thanks! That was fabulous! Thank you!

Luckywife - I think the worst thing about a critter out of the hospital is the middle of the night anxiety you get watching over them. I wish for you all many peaceful slumbers, and loads of healthy vibes.

Good Morning Lizards!

I am a serious lurker, but stopped in to tell you thanks for all of the info. I leave Mon for YC CL and am so excited I can hardly think straight. We just told DS(7) and DD(3) yesterday, two very good friends are meeting us there! I had great fun planning with Annalisa. Now if I can just make time speed up until Monday, then slow wwwaaayyyy down until Saturday!

Thanks all

Psherman

Have a great trip and be sure to come back and let us know how your trip went! We have four kids :earseek: they are 12, 8, 5, and >1, and we haven't told them yet! I am going to try to wait until the day we leave, were they excited when you told them? Our last trip we went with good friends and it was fun having adults to talk to while the kids played in the pool!

PSherman37 - Welcome to the Lounge!! So glad you got some useful info - have a wonderful time at YC CL!!!

WELCOME, PSHERMAN37!

I, too, hope you have a grand time @ YC!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

DS is feeling even better this morning.:bounce: Breathing treatments are going well and he is actually starting to sit still while we give them to him.
Thanks again to everyone who passed good wishes and prayers our way--much appreciated!

Poly concierge rooms have a fridge in them, right? I couldn't remember for sure but we need one now definitely so we can store DS's meds he'll be on for the next 2 weeks.
Also, I am getting confused about which floors/rooms are non-smoking. Can someone help me out with that? I wasn't planning on requesting a certain room or anything but really need/want non-smoking.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks BT! I love the clippie! Now I won't miss my counter so much. Perhaps we'll wish each other Happy Birthday in person someday at WDW!

Thanks, everyone, for all the good wishes. My shoulder is getting back to normal, just a little pins & needles in the thumb & wrist now. I am luckily a very fast healer, and having practiced yoga for some 20-odd years helps, too.

luckywife - Yes, there is a fridge in the room. And, the smoking rooms are on the third floor, the end furthest from the lounge.

luckywife there are minibars in the Poly CL rooms. You might want to check to see what the lowest temp is - they keep things cool but not cold, perhaps 45-50 degrees. When we brought my aunts down we needed to store meds and IPO offered to get an actual mini-fridge for my aunts room (we didn't even know at the time that the minibar coolers weren't real fridges!) at no charge for us. The only problem with the mini-fridges was that it didn't fit in the armoire, so it sat on the floor next to it. I think the meds would have been fine in the minibar, but we were overly cautious.

steveanddonna I forgot to ask you how you were feeling after the "massage" you had. How terrible that something that's supposed to be so great turned out to be so rotton. Did you have this at GF? I was thinking of going there myself for one, would you still recommend it? DH got me a gift certificate for a 75 minute massage for Mother's Day that I just used last week.
I hope you're feeling LOTS better now!

Thanks Bambi Tamby (me included) for making our thread look so colorful and cheery!!!! :teeth:

Hi Lounge Lizards !!! I've been away for a few days...very busy with the kids!!!

Luckywife....so glad to hear about your DS. I know how scary that can be. Thank goodness he's doing so well.

Okay...here's a ques. for you guys. We're going to GF/RPC in early Dec. However, just found out today that we may have to attend a meeting for 4 days (we'd bring the kids) on property at Universal at the end of Jan. Should we try to go to WDW in Sept. to space it out a bit, or keep RPC for Dec. for the decoratons? Not sure what the crowds are like in Sept. I also don't know if we'd regret not doing RPC at Xmas? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!! :confused3

Have a great Thursday...the weekend's almost here again!!!! :teeth:
