Happy limo has been great for us my past three trips. They will do grocery stops, though I've always signed up for it but never used it! I use it as my "just in case I forget the entire bathroom bag", stop! They also have vans and excursions for pickup as well as the usual assortment. I have also heard great things about Florida Tours. FT sponsors these boards. The only reason I haven't used them is because I gave happy limo that first call!

I loved getting rid of the rental car part of our trip, and consider going carless a big part of our vacation! Neither of us lives near our work and having a kid in travel hockey makes atleast me, not want to drive during my vacation! I've also found that since you can get a taxi for anyplace you NEED to be immediately, it is cheaper for us to get a towncar pickup/drop off and call a taxi twice than it is to have a rental. Obviously, we don't leave Disney property. Someone who does would want to take that into account for their decisions.

goodferry - you've got a lot of choices for limo service! I always use Tiffany Town Car, and have been very happy with them. They also have vans, to carry more people, and they will make a grocery stop, you just have to mention it when you book!

Thanks for all the info on the limo services. Car rental was a nightmare last time--I am happy to eliminate it from our plans. We were considering Tiffany Town Car, but have read varying reports on their reliability.

Debbie - The smoothie was superb and I can't get enough of those Krispy Kreme donuts (aren't they just heavenly?). Thanks for the special bonus treat. Strawberries....mmmmm, good. You even remembered the whip cream to dot those babies! I needed to re-fuel my tank.

goodferry - I, too, had read a post lately about someone waiting and waiting for Tiffany to pick them up from their resort, with no success, and finally they took a taxi. This made me nervous, even though I had used them twice previously, so I called to confirm the day before my trip. I was even more nervous due to switching resorts mid-way, but it went off without a hitch. We've used them 3x now, and they have been very reliable.

Have any of you ever arranged for Disney Dollars to be in your room or in a goodie basket upon check-in? We did this last year at YC Concierge.

WL Concierge said this is not possible. Did something change.

If I call the Disney Florist, will they buy the Disney Dollars and add them to one of their floral arrangements?

Melissa at IPO offered to book transportation for me, does anyone know who they use? I never thought to ask, I didn't know they would arrange for transportation too.

Goodferry- the first time we went to WDW we did the "Grand" plan. It is similiar to the Platinum plan. It provides transfers. We had Tiffany Town Car. Great service, but we used them the next 2 times and service was awful, late pickups, rude, etc. we had friends that went over Spring Break and did the Platinum Plan, they had a Mears Shuttle! I told them they were crazy! Just ask Melissa.


Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I finally finished packing and the luggage has been brought down stairs. I did the online check-in and everything is ready to go. I am so excited. I hope I can sleep tonight!

And true!!!!!! k&a&c'smom... I have been a closet WDW fanatic for years!! However, I am "coming out" now. LOL!!! I have relatives (on DH's side) who have NO idea!!

I have a long week ahead of me. 5 full days of work plus three nights for overtime. Ugg! I have 12 days to go though so at least it's something to look forward to!

WoodysRoundup-I had told CL my room requests for my last trip and they took care of it-got exactly what I asked for (in Poly 2nd floor, close to lounge, unobstructed view of castle). I did not call a few days out. Have a great trip! How exciting.

Goodferry-I too am making the switch to limo for this trip and we are a family of 5 + a friend(Godsend actually) so I think I'll go for the stretch limo-cheaper than the van rental and kids (OK & adults) will LOVE it! I've got a friend who was happy with Happy so I think I'll try them. I will also ask for a grocery stop but I will also be sending a package to the hotel. That way I'll have a box to send stuff home too. The package was waiting for us in the room when we got there and CL took care of sending the package home to us.

OK-I'm going to call and make a reservation today for LV CL at Poly for week before Thanksgiving at rack rate. I'm sure I'll get some sort of discount before we actually go. Then I can do a counter.

Well, I came in work early to get some work done so I've really got to get to it!

We used FL Tours for 5 adults plus luggage and yes
they are a godsend-no muss no fuss-met us at baggage
claim, put on a DVD and the next thing we knew, we
were pulling into the resort. (Man, I wish I was going
back-there is actually snow in today's forecast, but nothing
yet!)
