fam4jc - your DD will receive a plastic beach pail and shovel with coloring book, crayons, etc. upon check-in at Poly CL, but I can't think of any beach toys available for borrowing. Of course, there are always places to buy some...but if you already have them with you from the beach portion of your trip, bring them along.

fam4jc-the zero entry pool is very close to the beach-your DDs can swim there. Don't stress about packing-you can always get anything you forget there. And all you really need at Disney is shorts & T's and of course your camera!

goodferry-Congrats on CRT!

Blowinbubbles-will your kids have spending money for Disney? I had read on this board to "fine" your kids from their spending money for fighting. That might work.

Well, DH hasn't said no yet. I think we're close to yes. He said "why do want again so soon?" I asked him if he wanted to go in Jan again? NO. He admitted that he can't think of a better family vacation for kids our age.

Maybe...or maybe CM just forgot. Last week Kathy chased us down the hall with the leis she'd forgotten - as if we don't have enough laying around at home! Our niece not only got a pail for herself in Jan., but Melissa (who was working in CL office during that trip) gave her another one when she heard Bailey tell us she was going to share hers with her brother when she got home. What a sweetie (both of them, actually - Bailey & Melissa!)

Just wanted to pop in and to let you know we will be home by tonight! Need to checkout by 11am and do our last minute plans before we get picked up by Tiffany at 5pm for our 6:50pm return flight to Newark.

See yas all when I get home.

P.S. I don't have that really sad feeling like I have when we leave Wilderness Lodge. The Polynesian was nice but it wasn't "Home" for me.

Looking forward to our next trip to the Lodge.

I will tell you more about our stay when I get home.

Concierge really does take care of you, even before you arrive!
My sister in-law, who lives in Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area) will be visiting us for the whole day on Saturday, while we are at Disney. The kids are so excited about that, as they have not seen her since Christmas.

I emailed Alana at concierge and exlained the situation. She arranged for Aunt Jeannie to park at the BC resort all day!

Concierge is soo much more than the food in the lounge, and as I work with them to plan our vacation, I get more grateful that we decided to upgrade.

Alana also suggested we do Cindy's (CRT) even though my DDs are 11 and 13. So we now plan on starting our first day with Princess Breakfast for them
Not sure how DS - 10, will deal with it but he will get his turn.

I really like how active this thread is. Everyone is so encouraging and freindly.

It's been a crazy weekend for my family. My DS is officially 8 years old now! Took him to an amusement park Friday followed by a birthday party yesterday and then to an appointment and work this morning. Needless to say, I'm bushed - LOL!

Fred - I know WL is your "home," but I hope to hear some good details on Poly when you get settled back in.

After hearing all the goodies on Poly lately I'm thinking about cancelling a PS so I can have dinner at Ohana's instead.

BambiTamby - THANK YOU!!!! I just LOVE my new clippie. Love it, love it, love it.

Luckywife - Just a few more days and you'll be the next lizard out the door. I believe Goodferry and fam4jc are following pretty closely behind you. I feel like I'm missing someone, but my brain is mush today.

We can use our room key for purchases, is that right? Well, my real question is this...my dad is wanting to pre-pay some spending money for us to use at restaurants so is this something he can arrange before we leave home? He thought it would be easier for us to use our room key for it but I have no idea how we can set this up. Does anyone know or ever done something like this before? He would be using his credit/debit card to do this and since he won't be with us, I didn't even know if it was something we could set up ahead of time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What a nice dad you have luckywife! My mom got disney dollars for us at our Disney Store, but you could always call with his credit card and have money applied to your reservation. That way you will have a credit when you arrive. I know that people have done this when they paid their room off and then applied a discount code.

Call me strange, but for an extra $150 a night I can upgrade my view and buy a lot more pampering a la carte. Then again, I've never done it. If I can't go back, maybe I shouldn't!!

GoofyJoofy~There are many options available, (depending on where you are staying), but most all Disney props have a business center, where you may use the computers/internet at a set price. There are also little kiosks around on the property, where you can access email and the web using a credit card. I bring a laptop...so I'm unsure of the cost of such access. Anyone else know the price?

Your girls will LOVE Cindy's and the breakfast. DS will make due!! (LOL).
I have to agree...Concierge is MUCH MORE than just F~O~O~D!!!

Fred~I am awaiting your posts and views/comparisons of the POLY/WL. I love both of these resorts. They are very different in theme, etc. It's unique experiences which tend to create TIES which BIND us to specific properties. I know...it's happened to us LOTS of TIMES!

Yes, my dad is WONDERFUL! He and my mom both taught me about the kind of parent I want to be to my two children. Even though my mom is gone I still remember the advice she gave me about everyday things/life and try to follow her example the best I can.
We will be gone next weekend so before I forget...hope your DD has a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Luckywife--I can't remember now where you are staying. We will arrive at the Poly on June 4th, will you still be there? Are you still having to do nebulizer treatments? My nephew is 9 months old and he keeps getting bronchitis, my sister has to give him treatments regularly. It's awful to have a sick baby!

Can't believe it, but....

We're going again!
Just booked Poly LVC for Aug. 4-8, even though I said I'd never do WDW in the summer. DH said he's always wanted to go in July or Aug., like his family did when he was a kid, so I called to check availablilty and not only got our 1st choice of days, but got the AP discount! I figured fate had spoken, so why not indulge DH? He's always accommodating me, and I have the vacation time, so, what the heck? We have an October trip coming up with MIL and a short Dec. trip, so we will have completely gorged ourselves on WDW this year. I think we have to consider this a once-in-a-lifetime year!
