I stopped by a friend's house last night after dinner. He's been hard at work decorating his house and lawn for the upcoming holiday season. He lives in a neighborhood where the front lawns are very small, maybe 10 feet from house to sidewalk and the houses are close together.

He had ten huge holiday inflatables in his front yard. There was literally no room to walk between them, and their front door was completely blocked by a giant air-filled snowglobe.

So, what do you think - was that overkill?

Wait, they make inflatable nativities? Somehow a giant balloon of baby Jesus does NOT say Merry Christmas to me.

LOL..Sorry but I always hated those things..especially when laying deflated on the grass....

On the way to the bridal shop I used for my wedding there was a house that had at least 6 different blow up thingys in their front yard. They had them for every holiday and every occasion it seemed. The way to the bridal shop was a bit confusing and had a lot of twists and turns, but having this house with all of its blow up in the front yard always allowed me a landmark ensuring I was on the right path.

From what I've seen around here, lots of people are putting them on their roofs. So very tacky.

Can someone email this to my cross the street neighbor???? She has her own personal light show going with about 20 inflatables from Mickey Mouse to a giant American Flag!! And she does this for EVERY holiday!! And we live in TOWNHOMES!!!!!! :scared:

20? :scared1:

Personally? Any.. I just don't like them.. And I hate when they "deflate" and the owners just leave them looking like Santa, Frosty, Rudolph, and Mickey Mouse were victims of a "drive-by shooting"..:sad2:
