I was reading that there will be a record number of runners in this year's half. About how many runners will be in the race (or have been in the past)? I finished the half last weekend and would like to shoot for the Princess next year. I am wondering if it will be the same type of experience (27000 runners).

The 2010 race had just over 11,000 finishers. I would expect around 13,000 starters which will be a lot less than the overcrowded WDW Half(which I expect o be 30,000 in 2012).

To go with those numbers, how are the buses for the Princess? I kept hearing about nightmare bus rides getting to the start of the half last weekend.

First, it's important to remember that buses only run from a select number of resorts for Princess vs. all of the Disney hotels for the January race.

As for how "bad" they will be, I've never taken a bus for Princess (don't stay in one of the host hotels) but I have found that they are hit or miss in Janaury and were bad this past October (for W&D)

I am not sure if this is accurate but one of the Expo vendors posted there would be 20k people..... Noticed it when I was looking at merchandise and they stated they would be at the expo.
