How many houses/places have you lived?

Not including college dorm rooms, I have lived 10 different homes in 2 states. I am 43 y.o.

When I was born, my parents lived in a trailer. They bought a house before my 1st birthday and we lived there till I was 6. Then my mother, brother and I lived w/ my Grandmother till my Jr year in school. My mother remarried and we moved into a house in the same town.

After high school, and during college, I lived w/ my aunt/uncle. I also spent a summer at my fathers house.

I moved in with DH into his appt. We then bought 3 houses together, 2 in Ohio, and now in Md.

It will soon be 11. We are hoping to move by the end of the summer.

2. With my parents until I got married and now my home with my husband.
My husband has never moved. We live in the hosue he grew up in.

I'm 53, I have lived in 24 residences (2 as a child, 22 after I left my parents' home) in 6 different states.

I've lived in 14 different places, all but one of them in Pennsylvania. I moved every year in college and law school, so those moves added up to 6 of the different places.

I've been in my current townhouse for almost 4 years, and my DH and I don't plan on moving for at least 5 more years.

Im 35 and have lived in Tasmania, New South Wales, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and Florida Ive moved about 10 times

Ten houses, eight places

  • Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa
  • Salisbury, England
  • Brittas, Dublin, Ireland
  • Bendigo, Australia
  • Victoria, Vancouver, Canada
  • Thibodaux, Louisiana
  • American Fork, Utah
  • Sequim, Washington

And now I'm in Northern Virginia :)

DH and I have both lived in 4 different places (although 2 of these was whilst away at university for 4 years so really I don't count these.) We lived in the houses we grew up in from birth until went to uni at 18. Then we lived in 2 different houses whilst at university. Then the week I finished university (we got married 3 weeks later) we moved in to the house we still live in. Both our sets of parents still live in the houses we grew up in (which they bought from new over 40 years ago) and have no intention of moving out of them!

10 houses in 4 countries. I´m 32!

I am 43 and have lived in 13 places. The funny part is where I started as a kid is where we have ended up raising our children. Our current house will be paid for in 5 years and when our youngest goes to college in 8 years, we plan on selling and downsizing.

I actually dream of retiring and renting a place to stay in different cities for a month at a time. I love to travel and experience different areas ... but would always like to have a "home" to come back to ...

I'm including college housing, but I'm not including all the difference places my dad lived, since I only visited him.

20 places, some being different apartments in the same complex/building. The first place, however, was the same house until I was 17...oh wait, might have to be 21, as my parents lived in San Francisco when I was born, then moved to that one house in San Jose before I was one...

I do love moving...though the love grows less the more stuff I have. When I move into a new place...something about it makes ME feel new. Different. Like the world is open again. :goodvibes

In my post college life I've lived in 4 houses and 4 states. We've been in the same house for the last 16 years, though. I would love something different and we've outgrown it but we want the mortgage paid off!

Another thread got me thinking.

I am 40 and have lived in 20+ houses/apartments in my life.

I have only lived in the US, but in 4 different states and multiple cities in those states.

How about you?
40+ houses in my 38 years. 5 States, 5 Canadian Provinces and a territory. We moved around a lot as a kid

Let's see...

Only one country.
Three different states.
Four different cities.
Twelve places, counting the college dorm.
