DH and I are always whining that we have no life, and that for every hour of potential "free time" we might take, there are half a dozen things we really should be working on. It is very stressful. I wonder how many other people feel the same way. How many hours a week including evenings and weekends do you have for "free time" to watch TV, read a book, play games with your kids, visit a friend etc.?

I watch maybe an hour of tv during the week. Weekends maybe 2-3 hours a day, unless it is football season then the hours can rack-up in a hurry.

Between work, being on call 24/7 & doing all the things around the house & trying to spend time w/family free-time is limited.. what is a nap anyways????

I often wonder what I used to do with all my free-time before we had children/work/spouse.... :scratchin

As everyone else does, I wish I had more free time. I work full time as does DH. My DS just started football practice 3 nites a week and DD has cheerleading practice 2 nites a week and I am an assistance coach. Not a pretty site, a 39 yr old trying to do a cartwheel. Once school starts, it will get more hectic but, it is all worth it because it is for the kids. I always find time for the DIS boards!!!!!:cheer2: Hey, my world won't fall apart if the wash has to wait another day or if I have not vaccuumed my steps in months!

Free time !!! What's free time ??? I guess I do get 1 hour a week when Survivor is on. That's only because I refuse to do anything or talk to anyone when it's on. My family and friends know I won't leave the TV or answer the phone or talk when it's on...Nor do I allow any talk in the room.

free time?? What's that? ;)

Most of our free time is spent with the kids. If we don't have to run someplace with them, we find something to do. Even if it means reading my DS4 the same book over and over again or watching one of his Power Ranger DVD's with him -- even though they bore me silly. DS9 can talk to me about history for hours at a time. It doesn't interest me in the least, but it's important to him, so it's become important to me.

Although we always have a list as long as my arm of things we need to get done, somehow we always manage to get to them. But, family is first and foremost.

It won't be long and I'll have free time. :( The kids are growing so fast.
