I'd like to jump in this thread and ask a more detailed version of the same question - hope that's ok! My bf and I are going this July. He's a music teacher/theatre director and a 1st timer - this will be my 5th trip. He's overly critical of music, loves Tangled but hates the music from Frozen if that gives you an idea. As theatre people, I wasn't impressed by B&tB show when I saw it last and I was disappointed by VotM as a dedicated life-long mermaid fan. I saw both shows on Broadway and I think it ruined it for me to see it presented that way. I'm in LOVE with FotK and Nemo at AK though, even though I saw Lion King on stage too. BF will probably want to skip the Frozen show as he has heard kids sing 'Let It Go' for SO MANY AUDITIONS for kids theatre. We're doing Frozen Ever After at Epcot still as its not a sing-along.
We have a ADR for breakfast at 9:15am for 1900 Park Fare, then head to the DHS. I also intend to get 3 fastpasses at the 60 day mark, but I don't know for what yet. I booked dinner at Hollywood Brown Derby at 6p - a recent business trip to Orlando left me mentally fearful of not having dining reservations as I stayed at Universal Doubletree and had no where to eat without any reservations! No kids for us but big Star Wars fans!
Feedback welcome - our must lists include GMR, Muppets, Star Tours, TSM, TZTT and One Man's Dream, Fantasmic, Star Wars night show and as much Star Wars stuff as possible with the exception of Jedi Training (while adorbs, I'm ok with missing it and not having to stand in the hot sun in a crowd - I'm happy to save those times for my must-list items) I am planning to go to the park twice if need be at night to see both Fantastic and Star Wars Galactic Spectacular. I'm not sure if one can watch them both in the same night.
My plan was head to DHS immediately after 1900 Park Fare - stay through dinner until late at night. Should I rearrange this schedule? Hopefully that's enough background for you!
