I'm not thrilled with flying either but when you know "it's the only way to go" and you really want to be somewhere, you'll be able to get through it. Best of luck with your adoption plans! How exciting.

Thanks everyone!! Yep I'm scared to death! I've got close to a year to be scared though!! Don't get me wrong, I'll take a Xanax (or 10) and get on the flight for my daughter.

Don't worry to much about this. By the time you fly home you will have spent almost 2 weeks with your DD. She will have begun bonding with you and will have learned to trust you. Just bring things some things to soothe and entertain her and you'll be fine.

Oh good! I saw a segment on Oprah with Lisa Ling, about Chinese adoptions. The children were so scared & confused at seeing Caucasians for the first time. In the editting, they made it seem like the girls were wisked of in a couple of days of meeting their new parents.
