How many DVC'rs from Pennsylvania?

Yeah! We are going in November, too - we are flying. I hate driving long distances! First time at BLT!!

When in Nov are you going? We are going 11/18-11/27- we are from Chalfont,PA

Can anyone recommend a nice place to live in Bucks County? We may be relocating from NJ, which isn't too far away (but it sure feels like it)! It's me, DH, DD - 10 and DD - 13. I will be going kicking and screaming!

TIA :goodvibes

Nice place to live in Bucks County? It really depends on what you're looking for. Walkable town, sprawling subdivision with no sidewalks... Bucks has it all :). Do you want convenient access to a train station (is someone working downtown)? Lots of lovely farms and historic towns.

I grew up in Bucks, but we live in downtown Philly now.

:wave2: Hello from the Pocono Mountains! I live in Marshalls Creek Pa (a transplant from NJ) I actually commute to North Jersey for work. I am looking to relocate to the south in the near future (just tired of the winters) maybe SC or FLA. :goodvibes

My DH has offices in Newtown and KOP. We are definitely looking for a walkable town with sidewalks. Thanks!

Nice! Well, Newtown itself is a good place to start; lovely little town with good highway access, though not great rail access. Then there are Doylestown (the county seat) and Bristol Borough (which is a little grittier / up-and-coming). You might also take a look at Langhorne / Langhorne Manor, which are adjacent boroughs. A couple of these are written up in the "Classic Towns of Greater Philadelphia" web site: http://classictowns.org/explore

Yes I have been meaning to take a drive out to Doylestown (it's about an hour away from where we live now). Never thought about Langhorne but I will check that out too. Thanks for the website link - I will be taking a look at it shortly. There is nothing like the DisBoards for a wealth of information! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

:wave2: We're in Levittown, Pa. Which is like 5 mins from Sesame place and about 25 mins from Philly.

DH grew up in Gilbertsville, I grew up in Levittown!

We love flying to Disney, but will probably drive more once the boys are older!

Going to be going to Disney in Sept? Anyone else?

I live about 4 miles from Doylestown and I have to say, I absolutely love it there! It's a quaint town but also lots to do. There's great restaurants, live shows and they have a "First Friday". First Friday's are great, they're held the First Friday of each month, they close down the streets and it's a big party outside! Also, Doylestown is part of the Central Bucks school district which is supposed to be an outstanding district (I myself don't have children but this is what I've heard from many many people). You should take a ride over and check it out, I think its a great town!

We are originally from New Jersey and are now in Fountainville, PA, in Bucks County. A few miles away from Doylestown.

Another DVC'er from Allentown, :wave2: Actually in suburban Orefield, which is really Upper Macungie township. One of our neighbors are DVC owners as well. We are hoping to pool our points for a multi-family vacation next summer
