I was just kinda of wondering if there are many Buffett fans out there that are DVC members as well. WDW seems to play alot of Jimmy's tunes especially at OKW.

PHins Up.

I'm a certified Parrotthead! And of course I'm currently in the process of buying a resale at OKW.

Did you see any of his shows this year? We went in June and it was fantastic!

I'm one. Sadly, I haven't made to one of his concerts in a long long time. They always seem to conflict with some other commitment.

Yes I went to the July 1st Liscense to Chill tour in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio and I also attended the today show June 25th when JB performed. They where both out of this World. JB is simply the best perfomer/ singer/ songwriter period. Can any of you think of any other artist out there that had even close to the amount of good tunes that Buffett has.

What are your favorite songs on LTC?

I was a little skeptical about this album with all of the country folks on it, especially since I am not a huge country music phan. But I really really like this album.

Hightlights are

Boats to Build
Coast of Carolina
Coastal Confessions
Window of the World
Scarlet Begonias
Back to The Island

What are your favorites on LTC?

And what are your favorite JB albums of all time?

PHins Up

3 Parrotheads and DVC members in Wellesley, Mass, with the mature (that means old) 2 headed for his concert at Fenway Park on September 12.

I'm working through "A Pirate Looks at 50" right now. It's primary impact on me is a strong desire to learn to fly.

Now if only I could get my hands on a Grumman Albatross!

Growing older but not up.

WOW - I read that topic quickly and thought it said something much different initially (drop the arr) and was shocked!!! After reading the threads content it makes much more sense to me now...

I am not a parrot-head but am somewhat of a long time fan of Buffet. But, I don't attend the shows so I wouldn't be considered a parrot-head. I too own at OKW and am from MA so maybe there is something to this... Maybe they should consider moving Margarittaville from UCW to OKW.

When we're at WDW Margaritaville is at the Boardwalk Villas. Remember, Margaritaville is anywhere you want it to be.

"I wanna' go back, to the Islands"........

OK...My FAVORITE song on LTC is "Coast of Carolina" but "Scarlet Begonias" is wonderful as well.

PLEASE don't ask me to pick a favorite Buffett album. I can however give you a few of my all-time favorite songs.

"Tin Cup Chalice"
"Tryin' to Reason with Hurricane Season"
"One Particular Harbor"
"Son of a Sailor"

Oh heck...I can't even list ALL my favorite songs. Haven't found many I DIDN'T like LOL!

BTW...SOOO jealous that you saw him on the Today Show. That was AMAZING on TV so I can imagine how  it must have been live!! We got quite a show a few days later in Camden. He's still at the top of his game.

2 more Parrotheads here....DH more so than myself......and 2 little "parakeets" that love Jimmy here.

We've been on a roll the last few years and haven't missed a concert. We're already planning our big pre-concert party for Sept 4 at Jones Beach.

We have tickets to his show later this month. :bounce: Fins to the left, fins to the right....

My top 10 Buffett songs of all time are as follows, in no particular order.

Far Side Of the World
One Particular Harbour
School Boy Heart
Jolly Mon Sing
Fruitcakes
Last Mango In Paris ( Live Version on Feeding Frenzy)
No Plane On Sunday
Island Fever
Knees Of My Heart
Thats What Living is to me.

My Favorite Albums are A1A, One Particular Harbour, Floriday's, Fruitcakes, Barometer Soup, Banana Wind,Don't Stop the Carnival, and Far Side Of the World. I really like every album, except for the first two, High Cumberland Jubilee and Down to Earth, they are a little to country for my tastes.

Another parrothead wannabe here. Have,nt been to a concert as there always seems to be a conflict. Whenever I am at Disney I think "The weather is here,I wish you were beautiful"

We (DH & I) LOVE Jimmy Buffett, I guess we wouldn't classify as Parrotheads, since we haven't been to a concert in many, many years, kids keep us away. We do sit on our deck alot in the summer listening to Jimmy Buffett & James Taylor - ahh, that is summertime for me & Oh, let's not forget a cocktail or two ::yes:: it's 5:00 somewhere - right??

:wave2:

Been a Parrothead for almost 30 years now, I remember being in college and listening to 'Come Monday'.
It is now for DH and I, our 'song'.
Been to many of his concerts. I remember one a several years ago, Jimmy came out on stage before the concert and was setting up some stuff, barefoot and acting like a staff member. Nobody in the crowd seemed to know it was him. I was seated maybe 30 rows back and above the stage, and I stood up and yelled "Hey Bubba!". He looked up, smiled, waved and said into the microphone, "That's one of my cousins from Mississippi!"
Gotta love that sense of humor..........

My favs.....
Come Monday
One Particular Harbour
Creola
Jolly Mon
Son of a sailor

Two more Parrot Heads here. Will miss the concert this year but hope to get back on track next. Always try and make Margaritaville when in Orlando and have been to the new Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lombard IL.

Favorite song, hmmm, has to be
Volcano
One particular harbor being a close second.

I've been a Parrothead for so long I moved to Margaritaville. Unfortunately, I have to leave town for work each week, but by 5:00 every Friday I return with my blender for the weekend. I guess I’d have to list “The Ballad of Skip Wiley” as one of my favorite songs; however, like many from the Church of Buffet, Orthodox, (www.cobo.org) I tend to enjoy the earlier albums with Marvin Gardens. Go to go, there’s booze in the blender……
