How many do you have?

donate the extras to a shelter nearby.
We only keep a few things on hand since we buy an economy size usually. I have a shampoo/soap dispenser that I refill from the same bottles until it is gone.
We went to a deoderant rock that seems to last more than 8 months so far so no more buying that in quantity. And razors we buy as needed.

I live in FL and don't buy sunscreen, I would rather coverup instead. We all wear rash guards and shorts when in the sun or swimming. Can't stand the smell or the greasy feeling on my skin. Also hate the people when you are standing in line or walking by and they are spraying it everywhere. I don't want to wear your sunscreen either!

I typically like to have 1 in use and 1 in the closet of every toiletry. When the one in use is done I put it on the shopping list.

Now, I like B&BW shower gel. When they have a sale I usually stock up so right now I have about 6 in the closet.

I do have some half empty bottle of shampoo and conditioner that I bought and didn't like. I really need to toss them but I hate to waste. :sad2:

You could use the conditioner as shaving cream for your legs.

We used to stockpile. Not a ton, but if I found a good deal I would pick up 5 or 10. Recently we've made the decision to switch to paraben free shampoos/body wash/cosmetics. They are pricier but we're happier with that decision and we only keep one or two on hand. Or if the companies we buy from have a sale I may get three or four at a time. Our local drugstore has a points program and I usually end up saving my points and hitting a sale for them on a bonus redemption to buy most of our cosmetic and bathroom items.

For stuff we use frequently, I try to stay one ahead. So the product in use & 1 extra. For stuff like sunscreen, I buy each summer. Whatever is in the cabinet now is just whatever was left from last summer. Next summer, I will either pitch it or DH or I will use it. I buy new for the kids. We are pretty fair so I don't like to take chances when I don't have to.

I do have several lotions & hair products because I like to switch those out. When the sink cabinet looks cluttered, I know it's time to use it up before stocking up on any more.

I have been doing this for about 10 years and love it! It makes my legs feel so much better and conditioner is so much cheaper than shaving cream. I get the Kirkland brand giant conditioner from Costco and it lasts me about a year or more.

I have a ton of that stuff too. I have more B&BW lotion than anybody deserves. Also, I have enough soap to last me a very long time. For some reason, for the longest time I felt a need to buy that $1 hand soap at BB&B every time I walked in the store. When I would get home, I was like WOW I already have some of that.

The comedian Jenna Marbles did a bit on it... calls it Goo Hoarding :rotfl2: (*warning ahead of time really bad language if you youtube it)

I am definitely a goo hoarder myself.

Oh dear. I coupon too. If it's free, I even buy coupons. Right now I have 20 chapsticks free from Walgreen's last year. I tried to give away a bunch to SIL and she completely does not get couponing. I have a dozen deodorant, dozens of Bayer aspirin because they were free and I got overage at Walmart. Several shampoos and body wash. Many packages of floss. My husband had to add shelves in pantry for all the cheap food. Boxes of crackers for .19, Compleat meals .67, free dog treats.

I absolutely love running out of something and going to the stash I have to replenish it rather than buying full price at the store.

1. None, I can't use them. Any I get go straight to the girls.

2. 3 or 4 of the same brand, then 1 or 2 different brands. I've tried the other brands, and didn't like them. The same brand (my usual) at BJs has a razor +20 blades for cheaper than 12 blades at Walmart, so I end up with extra razors. DH has 3 or 4 different razors, shopped around until he found one he really liked.

3. Usually just one-two spare, depending if I buy a 3 pack from Bjs or 2 pack from Walmart. same for DH

4. Shampoo-- Unless they were on sale or part of a 2 pack, none. It takes me forever to go through a bottle of shampoo. Conditioner--usually one.

5. We usually have an extra bottle of the stuff for DH/DS. My stuff is more expensive, and I only keep one on hand.

Me too!! I stock up during the January and June sales. I recently put all my B and BW in clear tubs, and I was shocked at how much I'd stockpiled. The especially bad part was the little travel size lotions and shower gels. How many trips do I think I take in a year? LOL!! I've vowed to downsize these in the next year.

We're remodeling our bathroom right now and we just took out my storage closet which held EVERYTHING. For storage now, we're only going to have the vanity and then 2 side cabinets (much less). I'm going through everything that was in the closet and I'm finding a LOT of things we don't use (hairspray, lotions, razors, Disney soap, etc.) I used to do the extreme couponing thing and I loaded up on deodorants, toothpastes, etc. We don't have nearly as much as we used to but now I need to downsize even more. How much do you keep on hand?

-Lotions (I'm talking the smelly kind like Bath & Body Works - everyone and their grandma seems to give these out for Christmas)
-Razors
-Deodorants
-Shampoos/Conditioners
-Sunblock

1. Lotions - daughter uses lotion and keeps her brand in her room. I have a few hotel ones lying around.

2. razors - jumbo costco pack as needed

3 deodorants - one at a time

4. Shampoo and conditioner - have a tile cut out shelf in shower which holds four large bottles - 2 kinds - replace as they empty

5. sunblock - buy new each year as needed

6. toothpaste - buy new 4.6 oz tube as needed

Each bathroom has it's own stock for the person who uses it.

Used to coupon and hoard a bit - got over it!

-Lotions - we don't use lotion but do have a bottle of coconut oil to moisturize

-Razors - we each have a base and fill up on cartridges when needed, usually buy a box in bulk

-Deodorants - one each

-Shampoos/Conditioners - we only use this a few times a year but we have a bottle of each... the cheap kind. usually we only use water, though!

-Sunblock - we only buy it when on vacation (to Disney) and then leave it behind

lol, thanks everyone! I'm set on toilet paper... I bought a few hundred rolls last year on a sale. Won't need to buy any for a long time! I just sold 12 bottles of lotion tonight on a local facebook sale page for $10 (most were little bottles). I have so many bottles of shampoo and soap from Disney.. lol. Not sure what to do with those. Hubby thinks I'm crazy. Also found 10-20 brushes & combs! Yikes!

You could donate the little soaps/lotions/shampoos to a womans shelter!

Two extra bottles of each.

Great way to get rid of it is to make college care packages and send to the kiddos you know that are in college. THEY LOVE IT!!! My nieces and lil' cousins love their care packages. :rotfl:

I love the Disney shampoo!! I can take it off your hands.

I buy one replacement when I open an item (deodorant toothpaste shampoo, etc).

Sometimes if I get a really good sale I'll buy a couple but I don't do massive amounts.

Except for tooth brushes. I'm freaky about tooth brushes. I have a dozen at any given time. I have situation specific OCD.

And though I do not like Disney room toiletries. I always bring a ton back keep them a little while then randomly give it away. Why I don't know..
