Hi All,

This will be our first trip to WDW and I'd like to know how many days we should stay to see the four major parks and maybe a visit to DisneyQuest. We will be going in May and would like to experience most of the attractions without running around all day.
How long have you stayed and did you feel it was long enough?

Thanks for your thoughts. :earsgirl:

Personally, I feel no matter how long you stay at Disney it's never long enough. I'm not sure if you're driving or flying, but I guess it doesn't matter since you can make your adjustment to either.

The last trip DH and I took we were at Disney for 9 days and 8 nights....I was worn out by the 7th day!
We spent about 5 days in the parks and 3 days out. 2 of those days were spent at DownTown Disney with time spent at DisneyQuest. We spent HOURS at Disneyquest!! :teeth: :hyper: It was nothing like I expected and I really enjoyed it. After leaving that afternoon we returned to DisneyQuest in the evening after eating at our hotel to go to the Cheesecake Factory. YUMMY!!! ::yes:: We grabbed our cheesecake and found one of the little booths in their internet cafe to sit at. HOW FUN!! Eating cheesecake with DH and playing on the computer while at Disney!!
How much time you spend at Disney will totally depend on how you want to do Disney. The very first time DH and I ever went, we only did 3 days at Disney and 1 day at Universal Studios. We did MK twice and EPCOT once. We had a lovely time and didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Besides, that gave us more to do on our second trip 3 years later! :teeth:
As you can see by my signature, May is when we always visit Disney. It's our anniversary and I really enjoy spending it in 11 different countries. Every year DH and I have gone, we have spent our anniversary in EPCOT. It's very romantic and so much fun!! :goodvibes

May is a very comfortable time to go and DH and I only had to utilize fastpass twice on our last trip in 2001. We took advantage of EE days and used fastpass later around 10am or so when others entered the parks, but only to do rides for the SECOND time. :D
I hope I've helped and if you have any other questions, just let us know.

Hi,
When we first went we thought 4 days would be fine. That was four times ago. we are now going for 7 days. 6 days in the parks and 1 day at the resort to break up the park days.
Unless you want to do the commando thing I would give yourself at least 5-6 days. It is si much more fun to be able to kick back and slow down and take it all in. Otherwise your trip is done before you know it and its all a blur.
That is just MHO,:wave2:

Hello! Your question depends on whether or not you are going with children, or just adults. You can cover way more faster as adults only than you can with children. Out first trip (May 7-12 1998) was 5 nights and we had a 2 year old with us. We stayed at the Poly (concierge) and really felt we we did not see anything but MK since it was the closest and the bus rides seem to eat up alot of our time when we went to the other parks. We had to set aside 2 days for flying, which really only left us with 4 whole days. We did not feel this was long enough-and we didn't even visit AK since the park had just opened and it was not included in our tickets that we got through American airlines vacations (needless to say I found these boards right when we got back!). Now when we go as adults only we do 6 nights, 7 days. When we go with the kids (now 6 and 8 on our next trip) we go for 7 nights and 8 days. You can see all the parks in one shorter visit, but we feel like you can't even make a dent in them. My best suggestion is that if you want to do a shorter trip, book a hotel in the middle of the property, not a MK resort so you are in a short proximity to everything. Also, if you don't want to tour commando style, and you want to relax a little, it is worth it to add a day or two on so you really feel like you have been to each park and really can get an idea of what they all offer. If you can get a good rate, it is worth the extra $$ to add on a night or two since the difference in price to add on to a hopper is really minimal. This is just our experience of course and since we have to fly in and pay for airfare we figure if we are going to go, then we should spend as much time as we need! Have a great trip!
