Hello! Your question depends on whether or not you are going with children, or just adults. You can cover way more faster as adults only than you can with children. Out first trip (May 7-12 1998) was 5 nights and we had a 2 year old with us. We stayed at the Poly (concierge) and really felt we we did not see anything but MK since it was the closest and the bus rides seem to eat up alot of our time when we went to the other parks. We had to set aside 2 days for flying, which really only left us with 4 whole days. We did not feel this was long enough-and we didn't even visit AK since the park had just opened and it was not included in our tickets that we got through American airlines vacations (needless to say I found these boards right when we got back!). Now when we go as adults only we do 6 nights, 7 days. When we go with the kids (now 6 and 8 on our next trip) we go for 7 nights and 8 days. You can see all the parks in one shorter visit, but we feel like you can't even make a dent in them. My best suggestion is that if you want to do a shorter trip, book a hotel in the middle of the property, not a MK resort so you are in a short proximity to everything. Also, if you don't want to tour commando style, and you want to relax a little, it is worth it to add a day or two on so you really feel like you have been to each park and really can get an idea of what they all offer. If you can get a good rate, it is worth the extra $$ to add on a night or two since the difference in price to add on to a hopper is really minimal. This is just our experience of course and since we have to fly in and pay for airfare we figure if we are going to go, then we should spend as much time as we need! Have a great trip!
