How Many Days? - Vero

We went for 4 days in March and found that was just fine to play and relax. We then went to WDW for 4 days.

Probably two or three, minimum, for your first trip. It depends on your goals - do you want to do nothing, or do you want to do some exploring?

Our shortest stay has been 1 night and we had a lovely time, but we were VB veterans at that point.

We find VB after WDW works best - it gives us some time for R&R before returning home.

I think 2 nights would be the minimum to really enjoy Vero. You tend to lose so much time the first day that it's nice to have a whole uninterrupted day. If you'd like to also look around the area outside of the resort, I'd go for a minimum of 3 nights.

For me, coming to Vero after WDW made it seem a little slow in comparison. (Although some folks enjoy some R&R before heading home.) Lately, I've been going to Vero first, to appreciate all that it has to offer without comparing it to the go-go pace of WDW. Either way works...:smooth:

I know I'm in the minority, but ......

I'd say 5 to 7 days at Vero, enough time to relax and begin to recognize how peaceful the resort is....

Sitting on the ocean walkway late at night listening to the waves.....

Walking along the paths at night.....

Taking a leasurely strole down the beach at sunset.....

Short stays don't give you the chance to unwind and reconnect with the family and yourself, and that's what Vero is for us......

Capt.Midnight, I am with you! I love spending time at Vero so much! We spent 9 days the first trip and a week the second time and I cherished each moment... THe more the better for us!!

Spent seven days there in MAY. By the seventh day, was ready to go home. Five would have left me wanting more, an would have made my desire greater to go back. Loved it there, but had followed a week at AKL with a week at VB. I was all disneyed out. Would go back to VB again to unwind after WDW.

In many vacation ads you'll see things like 7-days, 6-nights, but in my opinion it's really not fair to count the day of check-in and the day of check-out as at best those are partial days. In reality the ads should state something like 5-days, 6-nights. :smooth:

That said, I would say 3-nights minimum. That gives you two full days in the middle, plus one extra evening the day of check-in. I personally like 5-nights (4 solid days). As others have said, that might be just right, then use your remaining days at WDW. :D

We spent two nights at VB before we went to WDW. Those two nights were great to help me forget about work and all the goings on there. Afterwards I was ready to hit WDW with a few days of rest before.

Two nights was good, maybe three would have been better. I don't need to go exploring, I just wanted to veg out at the beach. It was great.

I would have to say three as a minimum and four would be ideal. DH and I went for 3 days and I just felt rushed! I think it's a terrific way to simply relax and have a quiet vacation. Sometimes being at WDW is hectic and you need a vaction from the vacation. LOL! :D I hope your vacation is great!!

we spent three nights at Vero, and thought it was perfect. we started out our honeymoon there and then headed over to the GF for 11 nights.

The three nights at Vero was great, we were completely relaxed, and were ready to go to wdw!!!

Laura :D :D :D

only 28 days til YC concierge for my b-day!!! :D :D :D

We were there in late May for the first time . Arrived on Thursday, left Saturday morning for BWV. It was definitely not enough time. Georgeous resort and very relaxing. We WILL go back!!

Thanks for all of the great replies!!!!! Now I'm more confused than ever though!!!!

My wife & I just spent 6 nights at Vero with the planned intention of just relaxing on the beach We took in one great restaurant (The Black Pearl) on A1A, a turtle watch and McClary's small Treaure Museum (gives a history of shipwrecks in the area). The resort restaurant Shutters is great for breakfast but unremarkable for dinners. Sonya's (the other resort restaurant is fantastic for their Sunday Brunch - but go early. DVC staff were great. If you get ambitious drive up to the Kennedy Space Center for a day trip. If you like to be very active it is probably not the place to go. If you want to wind down and only do activities occassionally it is the perfect place to go. I find it takes me about 2 days to get into the vacation mode so I would go to Vero for a minimum of 5 days. Your first day can't be counted fully considering it is a 4pm check in. I seem to have to get into my accomodations and check them out before the stress factor will disappear. Hope this helps.

We took our first trip to Vero last May - three nights was just about right (unfortunately our second full day was all rain). I also noticed that, if you have kids, the activities repeat themselves every three days. Our mistake was not enough time at WDW - we spent 5 nights at BWV, thinking that since we had been there last year that would be enough - but not so!
