How Many Days in MK?

no park hoppers - you are going in the middle of the summer with small children. if you have zoo near where you live - skip AK or Epcot. I would keep HS - you can really plan a nice day there. I went last week with 4.5yrs and 2.5yrs old and we did the following:
- little mermaid
- Disney junior
- Indiana Jones
- star wars
- lunch at H&V with characters
- beauty and the beast at 3pm

around 4pm - kids were tired and we went back to the hotel.

My kiddos are similar in age to yours and are also character obsessed. Last year we did 2 days at MK and one day each at Epcot, DHS, and AK. Based on our experience and kids' interests, next time we are planning 2.5 days at MK, 1.5 at Epcot, and 1 at DHS. We will be skipping AK. Epcot actually rivaled MK for my kids' favorite park. It's so hard to know what they will take to before actually going.

No way to tell which park will be your favorite until you've seen them all :)

Assuming you have completely ruled out hoppers, then I would stick with your plan. You can cover quite a lot of ground with 2 days at MK. That's exactly the same split we did with our first trip with DS (then 4). Last year, when he was 5, it was a longer trip and we did 3 MK days (although 2 of those were shorter days with swim breaks), 1 EP, 2 DHS, 1 AK. This year, with the same number of park days as last, I'm planning 2 MK, 2 EP, 2 DHS & 1 AK.

I would NOT skip EPCOT. I'm not saying this because I am an EPCOT nut, I'm saying it to echo what others have stated in that it is a great place for M&G. Jasmine and Aladdin are there in Morocco, and sometimes the Genie. Beast is there with Belle in her street clothes rather than her yellow princess dress. Aurora is there in France with short wait times, Marie from Aristocats... plus the M&G's in FW, which have a FP+ option.
AK has Pocahontas, Terk from Tarzan, Baloo, Rafiki, etc, plus the standard M&G's.

We have an EXCELLENT (and FREE) zoo here and no way we'd skip AK. Now, if you're just not someone who enjoys zoos, that is another thing.

Keep your plan as is. No need to skip any of the other parks to go for 3 MK days.

If you'd like, add another park day and go for a 3rd MK day. But I wouldn't skip any of the other parks for 3 days at MK. And I'm a MK nut. :goodvibes

This is great getting all this feedback! I think we are leaning towards exploring all 4 parks...now it's to decide if we can do everything at MK in 2 days without being rushed or should we add an extra day to our 5 day pass for $10/person! Additional comments would be greatly appreciated to help make this decision easier!

Personally I'd spring for the extra day. I do believe you can add additional days once you are down there tho. So you can wait...well as long as you additional day is at the end of the trip not before. It would just give you a little buffer and let you experience some things a 2nd time and def not feel as rushed the first 2 days.

In your shoes we would do MK,AK,MK,HS then let the troops decide where they want to spend the last day. By that time they will have seen everything and know what they really want to do. Here's where hoppers would really come in handy because you could bounce around and hit the highlights one more time.
