How many days in each park for 10 days?

We did 10 days in Jan 2017.
We did 4 days MK
2 Epcot
1 HS
1 AK
and in the middle- went to Universal for 1.5-2 days.

We do not do rest days- we are a rope drop to close family.
We were just there two weeks ago for a 4 day trip and did one day each park and MK AH.

Depending on the ages of the kids, you know what your family can handle.
Next time- I will plan a half day pool day but that is because my kids are now at the age when we all know what we want to accomplish at the parks and might have a little downtime.

If you guys had 10 days in all 4 parks at WDW, how many days would you spend in each park(you can include half days)?

For me I would do

4 MK
2.5 Epcot
2 AK
1.5 HS

We often do 10 day trips and our break down is always the same 3 days MK, 3 days Epcot, 2 days HS, 2 AK.

Now, if my trip was only 10 days total (including arrival day & departure day), I'd probably do something along the lines of this:

MK- 2 days
AK- 2 days
rest- 2 days
HS- 2 days (1 of those days would be arrival or departure day, so not quite a full park day)
EP- 2 days (1 of those days would be arrival or departure day, so not quite a full park day)

We always do 10 park days, and we usually split it up as follows:
4 MK days
3 Epcot
2 AK
1 DHS
Our WS day is a sleep in day. We also do 2 US days and one rest day. Always leave Orlando totally exhausted but can’t bring ourselves to take more rest time.

I would do 3 MK, 3 AK, 2 HS, and 2 Epcot. Also not in favor of rest days, though o could see doing shorter days if you have younger kids.

I think it also depends on when you are going. If you are going over the holidays I would spend more time in Epcot to enjoy the International Festival of the Holidays. I think it also depends on the make-up of your family. Recently, for 8 days we have typically spent 1.5 at AK, 2.5 at MK, 2.5 at Epcot, and 1.5 at DHS. This year for Thanksgiving, we will be going with my little one for the first time, so I figure we will be more heavily focused on MK.

I would base it on which Fastpasses you want to get. With Hollywood Studios you need at least 2 days to get both Slinky Dog and Toy Story Mania. Same with EPCOT. Frozen Ever After, Test Track and Soarin' are all on the same tier, so that is 3 days if you want all 3 rides on Fastpass. Same with Pandora. Doesn't mean you can't go to another park later if you have the hopper.

If we had 10 days (we never get that much time off...), our ideal would be:
2- Magic Kingdom
2-Epcot
1-AK
1-HS
1-Water parks or Beach day
1-Disney Springs / Resort hopping / checking out the lobbies /restaurants of the monorail resorts
2-rest days & lounging around the pool

I like the parks, but there is so much else to check out at the resorts that I wouldn't want to spend every day at the parks. For example, last trip we spent an entire day checking out Fort Wilderness Campground (stables, beach, dining) and took a boat to see the WL Christmas decor. It was amazing!

We only go for 7 days usually, and still need at least 2 rest days! But everyone is different, lol. I love to just sit and rest my feet while reading a good book. Makes a Disney Vacation less exhausting and we come home refreshed instead of dead tired.

I don't generally think about allocating 'days' in the same way as you asked in your original question. I think about what 'flow' makes the most sense for us.

We like to park-hop every day. I feel like it adds more variety into the trip, as well as more opportunities to re-visit our favorite attractions and nighttime experiences. We usually rope drop one park in the morning, take a nice long afternoon break, and then head to another park in the evening. If I was spending 10 days in the park, I would split it up as follows...

MK - 2.5 days
Epcot - 3 days
HS - 2 days
AK - 2.5 days

Based on our preferences, this would be my sample itinerary...

(1) Arrival day... arrive at Epcot and end the day seeing a nighttime show at DHS. (1/2 Epcot, 1/2 HS)

(2) Rope drop Animal Kingdom and visit Magic Kingdom in the evening (1/2 AK, 1/2 MK)

(3) Rope drop Magic Kingdom and visit Animal Kingdom in the evening (1/2 AK, 1/2 MK)
You could easily re-arrange days 2/3 to avoid park-hopping, if that's what you prefer.

(4) Rope drop Epcot (Future World) and explore World Showcase at night (1 Epcot)

(5) Rope drop Animal Kingdom and see the other HS nighttime show in the evening (1/2 AK, 1/2 HS)

(6) Rope drop Magic Kingdom and finish the night at Epcot (1/2 MK, 1/2 Epcot)
Depending on your preferences, you relax on evenings 5/6 or visit Disney Springs

(7) Rope drop Hollywood Studios and finish the night at Animal Kingdom (1/2 HS, 1/2 AK)

(8) Rope drop Magic Kingdom and finish the night at Hollywood Studios (1/2 MK, 1/2 HS)

(9) Rope drop Animal Kingdom and spend your last night at Magic Kingdom (1/2 AK, 1/2 MK)
You could spend your last night at your favorite park and re-visit your favorite nighttime spectacular.

(10) Relax during your departure day at Epcot (I guess this counts as 1 Epcot)

We split our days, ending almost every night at MK as it usually stays open later. We do make sure to see the Star Wars fireworks at least one night though.

With 10 days to plan, this would allow us to have down time every day rather than tour commando style to get it all in. Fit in pool time, perhaps HDDR or a camp fire night, etc...

4 days in MK
2 Epcot
2 AK
2 HS

This is what we will be doing this spring. We will be down for 2 weeks. Each park day will be limited to about 6 hrs as my mother tires if we are in the park much more than that. We have one Sea World day planned and one rest day.
