I'm working on our next trip to Orlando...Myself and (will be) 4 year old daughter. I am trying to figure out how much time we will need for US & IOA. We will stay on site to get the FOTLP. We will go during the week and be there when it opens in the morning. I guess she will be about 40"- 42" tall when we go. I wont have anyone to ride switch with for the rides she is to short to go on so we will be doing some skipping. But she is up for all the ones she can go on. How many days will it take to see what we can. We only need do do things once but dont really want to skip anything either. I'm thinking two days. Does that sound about right?

If you have the time I would allow 3 days. Try telling a 4yo that they can't repeat One Fish, Two Fish. :) If she is 42" (with shoes) then she'll be able to go on almost all the rides, with the exception of Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Ripsaw Falls, and Dr Doom in IoA and Mummy in Universal Studios. I spent 2 days at Universal with my 4yo in February and we did everything that we wanted to do, but we'd been the April before and were going again a couple of months later, so we didn't see all the shows.

Three days would allow enough time for a mid-day swim break at the hotel, which is a nice break. If you are going when the weather is cold (and would therefore not care about the swim break or some of the water rides) two days should be enough. If the weather is warm she'll probably want to spend a lot of time in the wet areas, especially the Curious George area. Make sure that she wears her swimsuit under her clothes (2 piece makes potty breaks a lot easier) or brings a change of clothes.

What time of the year are you going and which hotel do you plan to stay at?

Oh, I see from your signature that you are planning on March 2005. Try to go early in the month to avoid the spring break crowds, especially of you are going to WDW. My 4yo and I had a blast on our trip. My sister ended up meeting us down there, which was a big help, but I was prepared to do it all with just Jake. We bought APs and will return a couple of times in the next year.

Thanks Tigger&Belle. Yes I'm planning on early March. Not sure what hotel yet, any thoughts? I"ve taken my daughter to WDW twice with help already. This trip will be just the two of us. I'm sure I will give in and let her ride her favorites more than once.:teeth:

Hadn't put thought into water parks yet. Is March warm enough?
