Were your points deposited and new account was made for you? Did Disney notify you in any way after it was done?

I tried to do a search in this forum but my iPhone isn't letting me type in the search so if there is a thread you can refer me to that would help.

Thanks in advance!

It usually takes about a week after closing for the new account to be in the DVC system. The closing company needs to send the details to DVC and then MS needs to enter everything into the system.

Disney will not specifically notify you at that time, but you will receive membership cards and other information - usually within a month or so.

I'd call about a week after you know closing has been completed. It will help if you know the membership number of the contract you purchased, but DVC can also look you up by your SS#.

Enjoy! Welcome Home! :)

In my case as a new owner, points purchased resale, it took about a week for the account to be established and another 2 days for the points to show up in the account. But I didn't mind the wait since my wait on ROFR was only 7 days and we closed in about 25 days from the contract date. :)

We closed on our resale contract on Tuesday, February 15 and our points were in our account and I could make reservations on Friday, February 18. I had called on Thursday as well -- our account was set up but the points were not yet there. When I got an email Friday morning from DVC with our one-time code to log onto the DVC member site, I suspected we were fully in the system. Good luck -- it is very exciting!
