Us 5 people 6 computers. 3 desktops 3 laptops. No real plans for more.

5 people. 3 desktops. 1 main laptop. 1 dino laptop that no one ever uses. so guess it works out.

Four. One dinosaur, one PC the kids use, a laptop for DH and a laptop for me.

4 PPL, 3 computers. 1 laptop with heavy use, PC with heavy use, and another PC hardly ever touched. TVs....now that's a diffeent story....

This is embarassing--3 people, six computers. :rotfl: DH is a network administrator so he has a laptop and two desktops. We have a desktop and laptop that dd and I share. Although I don't own it, I have a work laptop that we're encouraged to take home and I use that one quite a bit, as well.

5, but only 2 that are newer than 2 years old.

Right now 2 desk tops, had 3 but my DD took one when she moved out in September :)

Next on my list is a lap top.

2 people - 2 desk tops, 2 laptops

2 pcs, 2 macs.

We both use both computers, but the edge is given to the mac.

way to many to count! we have 2 laptops (hubby's mac and the intel)
1 reg used desktop. 2 other computers that are hubby's file server that are upstairs, at least 10 downstairs that are hubby work servers and then there are the 30+ in the garage that work but are old..... my husband is also a network admin and he owner his own internet company and does webhosting and other junk!

Five - for 2 adults & 2 kids aged 2 & 4

My laptop
DH's work laptop
2 desktops in the office
Kitchen PC, which we originally put there for the 4 year old, but we all use it

Wow! I feel deprived somehow - :) 4 people / 1 desktop.

We just purchased another desktop and DH asked if I wanted to keep the old one. I asked, "Why?" Now, I'm wondering if I should have. :confused3

Depends on your family useage habits! We always had just one PC for the four of us, but then DH started having to work from home, so he has a laptop for that. When I started grad school, I needed to be on a computer so much more than I ever did as an undergrad, so I got a laptop. We kept an old one just because.

2 for the 4 of us, but they're both newer running on Pentium 4 processors. Mine has a 19" LCD, while the other has a standard 19" monitor.

We recently moved and got rid of 2 that were both celerons though. One was a Barbie themed computer, and one was a Hot Wheels. They were really cute and fully functional with 15" monitors, keyboards, speakers, modems, etc... but we kinda outgrew them. We gave them to families with younger kids who are enjoying them now. I think they were the cutest things though. A computer company in Canada (Patriot computers) made them quite a few years ago.

Here is a picture of one of the Barbie computers. I've never seen a Hot Wheels one on eBay yet.

Aren't they cute?

Five people, 5 computers. Also have 3 laptops. DD, 6, has had her own computer for 3 years now. Ever since she deleted some stuff in Quicken DH got her her own!

I suppose when the kids are older we may get a second one, but at 8 and 4, I just don't see the need for it. I do work from home - transcription business, so I'm on it constantly. My DH does 25% of his job from home, but we manage - it's really not a big deal for us. When he needs it, I'm grateful for the break. :teeth:

I can imagine when the kids get older and need it for more than just games that I may break down and get a second one. I don't really know where we'd put it though. Ours is in the study, and there really isn't another appropriate place for one in our house. I kinda like having everything on one computer anyway - guess that's just me. Makes my life easier as I end up doing DH's job for him alot.

I stopped counting at 26. Yes, one day DH decided to "accept" 22 computers from work plus a handful of laptops.

Plus six servers and a huge floor to ceiling rack... that is bound to count for something.

He is always selling, fixing, and taking apart machines down there (the netherworlds of our basement) so that number is fairly fluid. We did sell a bunch of laptops recently on Ebay, so we may be down to the low 20's --high teens!

2 people here. 7 full and working computers... 5 hooked up and running

Wouldn't mind a new desktop, but that will have to wait.
