How many Christmas trees do you put up?

We have our large one in the living room.

A 4 foot in the kitchen.... It has kitchen and food themed ornaments.

A 4ft in the sunroom that has all Snoopy ornaments and all of my Christmas Snoopy decorations sitting around it.

The boys have small blue one in their room.

Somewhere between 0 and 1.5 (We have a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree). It just depends.

<====Used to have lots of Holiday Spirit. But between the fact my company's end of year is 12/31 every year and the unreasonable expectations of my extended family as per Holidays (the best present I could get on Christmas is the stomach flu so I could spend the holiday in peace and quiet. I mean that sincerely.), my love of the Season has now drained completely out of me.

We currently have 2 - our 'Martha Stewart' tree goes in the front room in front of the window and our 'memories' tree with all our vacation ornaments and things the kids have made is in our family room.

I say currently because I'd have a tree in every room if I could lol. I'm working on DH for a Disney tree in my office and some kind of small tree in the kitchen to match the theme or just something pretty. Also one in the upstairs hallway lmao.

I won't win all of these I'm sure :rotfl2:

We put up 2 7 foot trees (1 is upstairs in game room, 1 is downstairs in family room) and I also put a 4 foot tree in the front room. I put assorted little trees in the kids room (they are usually around 18 inches? tall) It's fun putting up, painfully tedious taking them down...lol And I will have them all out next weekend, although I do have a swag on the stairs already and I have my bath and body works wallflowers scents all switched to holiday scents already..lol

Six...which I realize sounds a little crazy! Two are real, the others are artificial.

Our large "family tree" in the living room. Santa delivers here.

A white/glass decorated 7.5 foot in the dining room.

A 5 foot and two 4 foot trees in my children's rooms. Decorated however they choose. :)

I also put a 7 foot tree on the front porch with red and white lights.

I do 3 regular-sized trees:

A "Florida" Tree in the living room - seashells, starfish, lighthouses, etc. w/ blue, white, gold, & natural (wood) colors.

A Gingerbread Tree in the kitchen - gingerbread, candy canes, candy, etc. w/ red, white, brown, & light green colors

An "Everything" Tree in the family room - Hallmark ornaments, Disney ornaments, vacation ornaments, handed down ornaments, vintage ornaments, ornaments the kids have made, etc. Basically, it's all the ornaments we've collected & been given over the years! :goodvibes This is our "main" tree, the one that has all the presents under it, & where we gather on Christmas morning.

The trees in the kitchen & the living room are artificial, and the tree in the family room is real.

Additionally, I have a small table-top tree in the dining room which is snowman themed & a small table-top tree in the main bathroom which is Disney-themed. And we have small table-top trees in our bedrooms as well - the kids' trees are decorated, but the one in our bedroom is not.

And I'd like one more tree for our foyer. ;) (Still working on DH!)

My classroom is decorated in a Snoopy/Peanuts theme. I also put up a Charlie Brown tree there. My third graders get a kick out of it.

1, which is plenty for me! I actually downsized our tree about 3 years ago. I have a skinny one now. I really don't like it as much as my old artificial tree but it fits in my living room without me moving furniture around and takes 1/2 the time to decorate. I'm all about taking less time now that I am getting older.

Seven.

<paranoid>

Although, after this year, I think we'll be down to six. I want to swap two smaller trees for one bigger tree. They're losing branches, so I think dh will agree.

I have two in the foyer (2 foot and 4 for alpines done in white lights and birds), one in the dining room (3 foot with my shiny brite vintage ornaments), one in each of the kids bedrooms(4 foot), 1 in the playroom (5 foot with only homemade ornaments) and our main tree in the living room.

I think I have all the trees I want, right now.

Generally 2 for us:

1 in the formal living room
1 in the family room

That doesn't include small tabletop trees though. I have quite a few of those and sometimes they get used, sometimes they don't. Whether any of the small ones make an appearance this year remains to be seen. ;)

2......9' in the foyer and 4' which I think this year will be in the kitchen.
Also a 1' one (but I didn't count that, although it has little ornaments that have to be put on it, so does take awhile)

Umh 1. I just bought it last week at Costco. My old one died in our house flood last summer. Ornaments were safe. Not so much the tree. The cardboard box served as a giant sponge.

I must come from a grinchy family. My mom hasn't had one in 10 years. When my daughter was born I bought he'd a 3 ft cardboard one at Ikea so she has some holiday cheer in her house.

As a kid I never understood why my grandmother kept her tree decorated in a giant closet. I understand now grandma was smart. Her 4 ft fully decorated tree came out of the closet 6 weeks a year. It was placed on a 2 ft coffee table so it didn't look little. Any new ornaments were added each year. Then after the holidays a giant plastic bag covered the whole thing and back it went into the closet. I wish I could be as smart.

2. But I guess the second one doesn't count as it's in our finished basement and stays up all year, completely decorated with my aunt's collection of Irish ornaments (our basement is themed as an Irish pub).

The tree in the living room is "mine." It has all of my Disney ornaments as well as my late Mom's carousel horses on it. It was all in storage until a few years ago when I moved in with relatives. My aunt suggested I start putting it up again. Before that, they hadn't had a tree upstairs in twenty years.

You will all think we're insane, but we have nine inside the house and four more outside. Yes, we like decorating for Christmas!

We have:

A 10' in the music room that faces the street (artificial)
A 9' in the front family room, also visible to the street (real)
A 10' in the dining room, also visible to the street (artificial)
A 9' in the back family room, not visible (real)
An 8' at the landing to the second floor (artificial)
An 8' in my DS's bedroom (artificial)
An 8' in my DD's bedroom (artificial)
Another 4' in my DD's bedroom for her guinea pigs (artificial)
A 7' at the end of the upstairs main hallway (artificial)

We then have two 10' artificial trees that flank the front porch and two 10' artificial trees that flank the driveway.

And enough lights, garlands, wreaths, window candles, etc. to make it look like Santa threw up all over our house...

4 or 5.

- main tree in living room (our "everything" tree, as a PP described it ... love that!)

- smaller tree in dining room. the theme varies. I'll shop in the basement & see what I can come up with this year.

- kids have a tree in their rooms, themed to their school colors. nothing fancy, but fun :)

- sometimes I put a small tree in the family room & decorate it with our Disney ornaments, using multi-color lights. (all the other trees have white lights)

GOOD HEAVENS!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? :rotfl2: WOW! Thats a lot of tree's! Guess where my tree is? its still decked out from last year, its sitting in our basement. Next weekend i'll bring it upstairs carefully so that I dont break any ornaments on the way up. And voila! All done! (I love xmas but i hate decorating the tree, as you can tell). :lmao:

Do you and your wife do all the decorating or does someone do it for you?

One skinny one that fits in our tiny living room. Next week our first Elf will be coming for a visit and will surprise DD with a tiny tree of her own for her bedroom.
