How Many Character Have You Met? And Who Is The Rarest Character You've Seen?

Bet you guys haven't seen this one in a while!

Figment.jpg

Dreamfinder and Figment back in 1997 (my guys are the ones in the matching blue outfits and are now teens!)!

Only other character I can think of that we've seen that might be rare was the Dragon type guy over at Blizzard Beach probably on that same trip. We did get our book signed but didn't have a camera. Sorry - no clue of his name or if he's rare or not!:rotfl:

The rarest characters I've seen are Milo and Kira from Atlantis. :thumbsup2

i haven't met per say but i've seen

clara cluck
LIlttle John.
all of the country bears
Darkwing Duck
space chip and dale (they are not longer used from what ive been told)
space pluto (the same as above)

mission space goofy and mickey (i alsso heard they were no more)

the crash test dummies

nemo
coral ( as in the stilt walker not nemo's mom)

max the dog
They actually had Space Chip and Dale at Cosmic Ray's during the DPPP and I saw Space Pluto during MNSSHP last year. :)

I've lost count of how many characters. We've filled up 4 autograph books so far.
Our most rarest and memorable were:

Ariel in her ballgown at Akershus in Norway at Epcot
Lucky the dinosaur at Animal Kingdom
Belle in her ballgown in Disney land
Princess Aurora in blue not in pink as Briar Rose

Hugs for eyeore and I spoke about this a little - but what about Indiana Jones? we got his autograph and pic - or that SOOOO easy that it doesn't count?

I actually struggle with the concept of which characters to include and which to exclude! Isn't it great that I have no worse worries in the world to take up my time!! :rotfl: I definitely include characters based right from Disney movie or show and have a clear identity. I also include characters who are in full fur costumes (even if they aren't from a Disney movie), like Conniesaurus in Dinoland at Animal Kingdom. But I never included Star Wars characters unless they met during normal park days - partially because I have a slight bias that Star Wars isn't Disney! I don't include Streetmosphere characters but I did add Mayor Weaver! So I admit my site goes all over the place in what is considered a "character"!! :teeth:

But one thing remains firm on my site - it has to be a meet and greet character! That character had to be out meeting and greeting us plain old average guests at least one time! :teeth:

We saw Scrooge at Christmas time but didn't get to meet him. We did get Clarabelle & Horace though andthe 3 Caballeros! That was good enough for us! Everyone else we have met is pretty common:
Lilo & Stitch
Mickey (obviously! Regular & Jedi!)
Minnie
Pluto
Daisy
The Incredibles
Kim Possible & Ron Stoppable
Tigger
Pooh
Piglet
Eeyore
Goofy
Chip, Dale & Clarice
Aladdin, Jasmine, & Genie

I would love to see Aurora in her blue gown.

I agree with you. I dont really count the star wars characters as disney characters, but i do LOVE star wars so i took pics with those characters just because i thought it was fun. As for the park characters Such as Connie, hester, nutcracker, and scoop to name a few, they are technically disney characters because they were made by disney and they are characters; but i dont have them high on my priority list. I only get them when i have a bad character hunting day, lol:rotfl: But i do rather get characters from the movies, they are the best!

I also prefer the movie and cartoon characters to the Disney park-made characters. I don't count Star Wars as Disney either, but since I like the movies, I'd meet them if I got the chance, which so far, I have not. I would love to get a pic with Jedi Mickey though, I think he's so cute! I think I may have to schedule a May trip sometime and get down for Star Wars weekends, and the Flower and Garden Festival.

Yes, sometimes it is hard to categorize what is a character and what isn't. Usually, I tend not to include the "streetmosphere" characters like the mayor , the Holidays Around the World Santas, or the movie stars at MGM, but do tend to include those sorts of characters is they are fur characters like Conniesaurus, the Nutcracker, or the Italian Masquarade characters. As far as the Star Wars characters, I've never given it much though since I have never gone during Star Wars Weekends (I'm just not that into Star Wars lol), but I think it I met any of them, I'd still include them the same way I include the Ninja Turtles characters.

What about the power rangers? Do you guys think they are disney characters? They do appear on the toon disney channel, but so does "the tick" and "x-men" which is obviously aligned to universal studios. The power rangers are not made by disney, but i guess they bought the rights to it. Just like they did to kermit and roger rabbit.

Just wanted your opinion.:cool2:

I just came across a picture of myself at DL circa 1983 with one of the 3 Little Pigs!!! I went with my parents when I was in college and I think that was the only character picture I had taken!!! That's what happens when non-Disney people (my parents and me - at the time!!) go to Disneyland!! DUH!!!! :crazy2:

(If I ever figure out how to use this new printer/scanner I will scan the picture and post it here!;) )

I have no idea how many we have seen. Too many to count. But the rare one's are...

Rabbit (From Pooh)
Chip and Dale dressed in Chinese outfits (they were in front on China in Epcot)
Friar Tuck
Snow White and all of the 7 dwarfs
Kermit
Queen of Hearts
Big Bad Wolf and 3 Little Pigs
Max (Goofy's kid)
Quasimoto
The Incredibles
And we saw Jiminy Cricket at Epcot but we were late for a dining reservation and we didn't stop. I could kick myself for not stopping!!

On our last trip, my DD5 asked a cast member or two for their autograph. In some ways, that's the beauty - maybe there is no line to draw. They are all part of the fun!

We met Kuzko several years ago. I saw him walking and I about knocked people over to get to him ( we are huge ENG fans here). I had a pic but I think it was lost in the divorce.
Beauty and the Beast last summer in France
Timon and Pumba together
Snow White and all the Dwarfs
Alladin. Jasmine and Genie all together
