How often to you buy new comforter for your bed? Dh says I change our bed set too often. I want to buy a new bed in a bag. I bought the last one in December '03. I have a couple of spare comforters that I will use when I have having it cleaned.

we have one. it's about 2 years old.

I just bought a new one and was the first since shortly after we were married ( years ago.) The old one we got rid of.

I'm addicted to Tommy Hilfiger comforters and sheets! I have the full set of the pink and green beach motif one. Be aware though that it is dry clean only and rather expensive to clean ! :flower:

because our dog sleeps on the bed with us...I have a cheapie comforter (*cough* martha stewart brand from kmart *cough*) inside a duvet cover that I can take off and wash each week.

I get a new one maybe every year..only spend about $40 on them though (from LNT or Bed bath and beyond)...the one I have right now keeps unbuttoning itself, so I think we're due for a new one.

For the master bed we have 3 complete bedding sets, but we have an additional 3 comforters that we use with sheets that coordinate.

Duvet covers are a blessing when you have dogs or want to change colors seasonally. Usually they're solids but I can live with that and add patterned sheets/pillows

I would love to get a beautiful matelasse bedspread, but I have young kids, so for now I'll stick with the one cheap J.C. Penny "made in China" quilt. I've that quilt for about 5 years, though, so it might be time to flip through the J.C. Penney catalog...mmm, wonder if they have matelasse????

We only have 1 comforter for our bed. I've never owned more than one comforter per bed.

I have 2...one is a "summery" set (yellow & blue floral) and one is a "wintery" set (red & navy plaid).

We have a matelasse (sp?) bedspread from Lands End on our poster bed. We've had the bed almost 18 years and this is the fourth bedspread -- two cheap ones and two Lands End ones. It's starting to show some wear, so we'll probably replace it in the next year.

I have a warm comforter for the winter/cold months and a quilt for the summer/warm months. I get a new one each year!
